Near Cure = Anti-histamines
« on: March 12, 2020, 01:04:31 AM »
Anti-histamine relaxes my body to the point I go into deep sleep state that recovers my body wayyyy faster. Iburofen is good for reducing severity but I will not get addicted thus under the advice from a doctor I will only use 6-9 times a month and reduce usage throughout. Taurine is effective in maintaining muscle build however I over supplemented and had liver damage which I have taken the opportunity to recover from the last 30 days.

All anti-histamine loradatine, citrizen, and benadryl feel similar. Benadryl did make me forgetful, drowsy as hell but it put me in sleep for 11 hours which felt very restorative. Loradatine made me feel shaky and involuntary movements of body. These effects do seem to stop after removing anti-histamines from diet.

Other causes of POIS I have researched about: Low stomach acid- will be getting in contact with doctor once Covid lockdown stops....... Currently Remedy is ibuprofen and Anti histamines. Note to self do not take niacin x 10 pills + 8 other vitamin pills and anti-histamine because liver damage.

Are you referring to this video that just came out?

If so, I also just saw it today and posted a similar thread:

NSAIDs cause POIS symptoms for me, notably headaches and brain fog. To each there own.

I much prefer Tylenol. (But not for POIS).
10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

Cetirizine works fine for me, and is the most reliable direct treatment. I have no serious issues with other antihistamines I've tried, though that one is certainly harmless. Loratadine is an alternative to it that might be even more harmless, but it doesn't cross the blood-brain-barrier (deliberately) and I bet that's a disadvantage for some symtoms.

Hello,

Many thanks.

Benadryl  does it for me, Pop 1 before bed and sleep like a baby for 11 hours and i wake up just fine but had memory problems before and discouraged it but I ate a lot protein before sleep and it seems to stopped the after effect feeling of forgetfulness. (other histamines too- but one of them is giving me this unusual body movements- think its loradatine)

Anti-histamines are part of first line treatment for MCAD and getting a positive response to it is part of diagnostic criteria.

I’ve become terribly habituated to Benadryl. Trying to quit or at least moderate (see my testosterone thread). This Harvard article points out some of the dementia dangers

I've had a cetirizine trial recently (Zyrtec) and it has been hugely beneficial to me. It seems to have taken away all of my sleeping troubles which normally affect me greater than 50 percent of nights. I now sleep a lot better (3 weeks straight). And not only that but it takes away any and all residual pois symptoms that I may get if I stray away from my diet and orgasm. This is probably the best antihistamine I've ever tried and might be the best med in my arsenal.

I've gotten the dosage down to a really low amount. I take the 10 mg Zyrtec liquid gelcaps and open up a gelcap. Than I get a drop of the liquid and mix that into a water bottle. Than I take 3 normal gulps of that water bottle. I do this right before bed. So I essentially take only a quarter of a drop per day and it has a really good affect on me.
My POIS managed with Diet (@ diet that 100% manages my pois)Believe my POIS stems from inflammation in the gut. O = neuro POIS from inflammation from the gut

supps: microdose zyrtec if needed for food sens. ibuprofen for infl. as needed. Melatonin as needed. Big Pinch Black cumin  seeds once daily
