Cholinesterase
« on: March 29, 2019, 03:21:29 PM »
The amount of time I have spent studying POIS in recent years I can not measure.

There is a mechanism that I can not understand.
Our symptoms are related to an excess of acetylcholine activity after orgasm. Symptoms of parasympathetic hyperactivity:
Diarrhea and belly pain
Nausea and vomiting
Excessive salivation and lacrimation
Pallor and cold sweat
Blurred vision (contracted pupils)
Need to urinate often
Anxiety and feelings of panic
Muscle weakness

If caffeine is an anti-cholinesterase, how can it help the symptoms if an increase of acetylcholine occurs?
I think it's because it is an activator of the sympathetic nervous system and it increases the adrenaline.

My Cholinesterase test shows the value of 6700, and the normal range is between 5320 and 12920. That is, I have little cholinesterase which may be indicative of any imbalance.
Little cholinesterase occurs from agricultural product intoxication, but my doctor does not believe this has happened to me.

Any ideas on this?
My POIS only happens with masturbation. Normal sex does not generate POIS symptoms. My POIS is related to me mood and the health of my cervical spine. Dopamine/Inflammation/Body constitution (genetics) are factors that contribute to POIS.

How did you get to this conclusion Fernando? Did you make a test or you deduced it from symptoms?

I came to this conclusion from the symptoms.

There is exam for to measure acetylcholine for patients with myasthenia gravis, it would be interesting to do at the time of POIS symptoms. The exam I did was to see the level of the enzyme that degrades acetylcholine (cholinesterase). I think we should do the acetylcholine exam too, especially at the time of the symptoms.

There is enough evidence that at the time of POIS acetylcholine is high:
When we take an anticholinergic drug there is an improvement in symptoms. Benadryl for example.
When we take stimulants to the sympathetic nervous system, we can improve the symptoms. Caffeine for example.
The symptoms of POIS are the same as those that occur due to pesticide poisoning. Symptoms of parasympathetic overlap.
My POIS only happens with masturbation. Normal sex does not generate POIS symptoms. My POIS is related to me mood and the health of my cervical spine. Dopamine/Inflammation/Body constitution (genetics) are factors that contribute to POIS.

This teory is holding water ,we mentioned this before, Fernand.
i allways remeber my mother and her "Insecticides artillery" in house,
I did trowing all that sprays all the time from house.
I told her to not spray house with insecticide because i am hypersenitive
to that chemical, but she didn,t want listen for years.
With all fungicides and peticide in foods , she spraying a house to kill bugs

HOD, I guess this is an example of your promise to improve your posting language effort.

10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business

I'm not saying POIS is due to pesticides. What I meant is that the symptoms are similar and in the search for information I found that these symptoms are of excess acetylcholine. The imbalances in the neurotransmitters are caused by stress (chronic inflammation, allergies, mental problems etc ...) and not necessarily by agrotoxics. If we catch people who have actually been infected by pesticides, they may not even have POIS. Because if this were the case we would have already found the reason for the POIS.
My POIS only happens with masturbation. Normal sex does not generate POIS symptoms. My POIS is related to me mood and the health of my cervical spine. Dopamine/Inflammation/Body constitution (genetics) are factors that contribute to POIS.
