How spleep affects your illness?
« on: July 08, 2011, 04:48:20 PM »
I am asking this because:
  - for me sleeping in the afternoon, worsens my illness, and make me feel very strange: something like a dry perspiration (perspiration over a very dry skin), muscle, joint pains, hot sweats, mouth dryness.
  - also if I wake up 2-3 hour earlier in the morning, I start to fell somehow similar to the first situation, but even worse. I feel like my entire body, is draining, accelerated pulse, maybe hypotension, body temperature slightly lower that normal, coldness in my extremities.

Any advice, or explanation, is really welcomed.
Thank you.

I have cognitive, psychological and physical symptoms.
I am apologizing for my English if it is unclear.

No, it isn't. It happens almost everityme I sleep daytime or wakeup earlyer, since my illness appeared, 3+ yrs ago. (before I don't remember to have this).
I have cognitive, psychological and physical symptoms.

Yes emi,

I've noticed the same with afternoon naps. This has only begun on about the last year. Here in South America, naps are almost a law, especially on the weekend. I just can't take one now.

Almost like you say. The sensation is strange but quite disagreeable and lasts for a good 3 hrs after waking up. I don't get it on waking early, although I'm normally an early waker. And don't often wake earlier than normal, not often enough to know if it happens I guess.

Sleep though during the night for me has the opposite efect! It helps a lot to make me feel better. My symptoms begine to strengthen again several hours after getting up.

WITHOUT RESEARCH THERE WILL BE NO CURE!
Sessions 5 to 9 days, mostly Flu-like, joints, digestion problems, light cognitive.
Niacin has changed my lif though, now 1 day MAX.
Somewhere in this interaction with Niacin is the answer!

I can run at 100% on 6hrs of sleep non-pois.  When in pois, I can sleep 7-8hrs and still have body aches.  It affects my dreams as well--I have more dreams in pois than non-pois.

Nothing new.  Fighting the same battle that we all do here--resists temptation, eat right, try to find a magic combo of foods that works.  :-[
