Metal/sour taste as a symptom?
« on: September 03, 2020, 01:36:45 AM »
I was just wondering if anyone else has a sour/metal taste in their mouth as part of their symptoms?  I have a sour/metal taste in my mouth that pops up from time to time, and I just today realized it might coincide with my symptoms.  I'm going to track it more carefully now, but was just curious if anyone else had had a similar experience.

  • Use Adaptogens and Antioxidants, they can help.

I'd recommend to create a poll here:
https://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?board=15.0

Please provide multiple options, also with metal vs sour and with time (after orgasm, one day after etc etc) :-)

My personal answer would be: I never noticed it but I also didn't pay attention to it (maybe that should be one of the poll options)

I do but I always assumed it was my silent reflux.

Negative for me.

Perhaps check https://health.clevelandclinic.org/8-possible-causes-for-that-metallic-taste-in-your-mouth/

Are you taking any supplements?
Male, INTJ. POIS symptoms: red eyes, ear-pain, anxiety, speech problems, pale/ugly skin, stiff neck, double chin, tinnitus, light sensitivity. POIS even after stimulation without O.

Thanks for the poll suggestion!  I don't know why I didn't think of that.  It's definitely not consistent for me.  I thought it might coincide with wet dreams, but I guess not.

Perhaps it's as dizzy said, a consequence of the supplements I take.  Or maybe it's because I was stressed the week it happened.

I have been experiencing a sour taste in my mouth on and off for years.  I thought it was related to my celiac disease but I have started to correlate it with POIS.  The bad taste will usually last for 1 to 2 days.  Looking  back, most of the symptoms that led me to get tested for Celiac disease are POIS symptoms.
