Turmeric against inflammatory pois-induced back pains
« on: May 09, 2015, 04:32:27 AM »
I just wanted to share my very good experience with taking turmeric (curcuma) for relieving some pois symptoms.

Experience: I buy the spice (deep-orange yellow powder) in my usual supermarket, it's very cheap, and I add it to all my meals. I did it for 4 months already.

Effect : I am 40 and had pain in the joints and in the back for years (started at age 25), I was feeling my body was so stiff, as if I was an old man. And now, actually very quickly after starting the experience, I feel so much relief with this kind of symptoms. For instance I surprised myself doing some simple moves with the arm that would before have caused pain in my shoulder, elbow or wrist, and now not feeling anything bad. And in my practice of tennis I saw real improvements, in my sensations and in my game results.

My interpretation : I suffered for years from "inflammatory back pain" (different from mechanical back pain, see link below) caused by the autoimmune reaction caused by POIS. Turmeric is a well-known anti-inflammatory substance. That's it.

I strongly encourage you to try turmeric if you also had back problems or you feel your body is so stiff. I am pretty sure a large amount of poisers are concerned, let me know if it works for you. It does not at all alleviate the other POIS symptoms like mental symptoms but it's already so good to not feel this stiffness in the body. For me it's a sort of miracle !

Happy to hear about your improvement with turmeric.

I started using turmeric months ago and it was awesome in the beginning (70-80% relief) but unfortunately the effect reduced with time.
Now I think it just give me relief about 20-40٪.

I use the turmeric in form of golden milk recipe since it works much better with fat.

I ordered fenugreek extract (testofen) and I'm planning to combine it with turmeric to see if this could help more.

I wish you long lasting relief wit turmeric.
