Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well! I've been holding on to Niacin tablets (100mg) for about 2 weeks and I think I'm ready to take one tomorrow. How long should I wait to have an orgasm after taking a tablet? If I have no flush, can I 'o' right after taking a tablet? If a flush does occur should I wait right after the flush? Or should I wait longer like an hour or two? I was going to take a tablet today but I thought I'd ask these questions first before taking one just to be sure I am waiting correctly. I will increase my dosage if I tolerate it. Take care everyone!

Nicotinic acid (flush niacin) (tmax = 4 hours, t1/2 = 2 hours):

What's the point/rationale behind any of this?

Search for Niacin or Niacin Flush in the forum. It's an old school POIS fixup that helps some people sometimes when having the flush before the orgasm.
That said (I don't know where else to put this) I found this snipped interesting:
"For CFS patients, several presentations at CFS conferences have reported that E.Coli population is very low in CFS patients, < 50% of controls. E.Coli produces NADH that is a precursor to Niacin (if you have niacin flushes, you are likely low on E.Coli). Niacin is a natural vascular dilator (keeps blood vessel wide/open), so its absence can result in reduced blood flow and brain fog."

nanna1, do you know of any stool test results (gut bacteria) posted on the forum here (or on other POIS forums)? It would be interesting to see the E.coli population count.
