I get it from time to time and it usually is evenly dispersed creamy type of plague, probably due to smoking.

when i ealt less carb and less sugar in a course of a week, my white tounge reduces alot.   So i know it has something to do with yeast.

Have you tried candex+grape juice extract, that is what an md prescribed for me.

Interesting! I've seen a lot of evidence here that shows people have white tongues, myself included. I've noticed my tongue also gets whiter and thicker coated after an ejaculatory orgasm. I had a stool test conducted recently and it showed I had a Nystatin-resistant strain of Candida species. I wonder if anyone else has had the same thing?

I don't get white tongue. Although I really just checked right now for the first time, but I'm pretty sure I've looked at my tongue before and have never noticed white on it.

I am a dentist.

Brush your tongue...

all jokes aside, if u suspect yeast infection, ask ur dentist for fluconazole mouthwash.
Google hairy leukoplakia, if you have that, go see a doctor.

I have a white tongue always for last few years. It could be due to lower immunity levels that some POISers may have.

I have noticed my tongues becomes less white after recovering from orgasm.  I will pay more to attention to see what the pattern is like.

Yes my tongue also gets white when in POIS. Also my gums. But my symptons in that area get less after my tonsils operation. When you have a white tongue and throat problems check if your tonsils are infected too. When it is you should consider to let your tonsil remove. It's painfull when you are an adult but totally worth the pain. I went from 15 throat infections to 2 infections in a year.

My tongue only gets white when I eat food that I am sensitive to.  It clears up when I don't.

My doctor gave me miconazole (Monistat) against the white tongue. Maybe it’s Candida. The POIS and antibiotics is the may cause for my white tongue.

I still have a white tongue. I can’t rule out candida because 1 week ago I started with antibiotics. Maybe it’s a side effect of medicines. I use Amitriptyline against itching and against prostatitis. And one anti allergy tablet that gives you a dry mouth. Since a week I can’t tase food very good. I will use 1 Amtrip. a day instead of 2. And a smaller dose of the anti allergy tablet. Maybe that will help.

I think the main reason is reduced resistance. In my case because of the antibiotics and because of the POIS.

Because when I Google ‘hairy leukoplakia’ my tongue doesn’t look like that.

It’s normal to have a white tongue after catching a cold. And PoIS gives flu like symptoms.

Yeah van.  For me it is definitely correlated to if I eat foods I am sensitive to or not.  Just this past week I have been trying new foods and what do you know, white tongue and abdominal pain from a certain brand of chips.  This is the tongue where you wake up and have to take a layer of it off your tongue.  For me, candida theory does not work.  This is because it clearly goes away and only shows up when I eat sensitive foods.  For you though I am not totally sure.

I had white tongue and thought I had candida for years.  I adjusted my diet and no more white tongue.  I don't even get the white tongue from the bunch of carbs I eat throughout the day like beans and sweet potatoes.

I wonder if it was "candida", maybe eating sensitive foods causes an overgrowth? Or maybe it was my immune system reacting?

So my bodies proven to me it doesn't matter if I load up on carbs, if I'm not sensitive to it I won't get a white tongue.  So basically proves to me only eating sensitive foods and I'll get the white tongue.

The tongue cleaner doesn’t help a lot. But I still use it. Since a gew days I have a white tongue again. I am on miconazole (Monistat) again. A few months ago it didn’t help, but now I am on probiotics and VSL#3. So I hope it will help this time. I still have two weeks to go with antibiotics.

Miconazole (Monistat) does not help me again. I will ask my doctor for Fluconazole. Or does anyone recommend another anti fungal medicine?

I read that avoiding sugar will not help. Because the candida does not nee that sugar to stay alive. They stay alive with the slime in the bowels. And that anti candida diets do not help. They say to get rid of fruits, but you need fruits to be healthy. A healthy diet works because your immune system becomes stronger.

I really hope that the Fluconazole will help me. Because I a sick for almost two months.  :-\
Even after antibiotics (cefuroxim) I have problems in the bladder and prostate area. I think I have Fungal Prostatitis.

Perhaps the white tongue occurs because it is having little saliva due to stress.
Several situations make us have a dry mouth, including the use of some medications as antidepressants.

Maybe for others, but in my case it is candida. I also have a white palate, white gums, white lips and white cheeks on the inside.

It is quite common for normal people to have a white tongue. Check also if you have a white tinge inside your urethal opening (pee hole) shine a light from you phone and twist your penis slightly upwards you should see it also. I have this and maybe its linked to pois. I also get bright red rashes on the glans on my penis when i need to pee and sometimes I have white dots which are a loss of pigment on the glans also.

I know that it is normal to have a few white spots on the tongue. But there is a differene betwee a red tongue with a bit white and a candida tongue with white chunks and big dots.

Yes at the urethal opening it is also white. I think that is also candida. Since a few days I use Miconaol balm on the glans. I hope it will help.

Then you have candida. You should see a doctor. Candida makes you feel bad without POIS. But candida also makes the POIS worse.

Just want to note that I am not a Dr and any advice or information I give about what I do only pertains to my experience. Everyone is different and different protocols and supplements may effect someone else differently. You are responsible for what you do with my information and should research and/or ask a qualified medical professional.

I’m re-quoting Limejuice’s excellent perspective above.

It is very timely to our recent discussions about what one can and should say to another forum member about medical diagnosis and treatment.

Even if someone *is* a doctor (M.D.), medical diagnosis on the internet (or telephone) is inappriate and/or unethical in my opinion. And it might even be illegal.

I believe that face-to-face consultation - in person - is the only way to diagnose medical concerns. Body language, feelings, intonations, reactions and facial expression cannot be seen without in-person counsel.

Medicine? Not on the telephone. Not on the internet. For anyone.

I think in my case candida is not the main reason I have a white tongue. I think it is histamine intolerance. Maybe that is the reason why I have a white tongue on day 1 of POIS. And other members reported a white tongue because of POIS.

Can insomnia be the reason of my white tongue? I can not fall in sleep. And I wake up two times at night and early morning. During the day I feel sleepy and weak. Lack of sleep can harm your immune system.

https://raypeatforum.com/community/threads/severe-insomnia-white-tongue-suppression.4857/

I think POiS weakens the immune system. A white tongue is a sign for a weak immune system. POIS also causes insomnia during the night after sex. And when you wake up with a lack of sleep things can only be worse. Does the imsonia cause the white tongue? Or do you get insomnia because of a weak immune system? Maybe both?

In my opinion a POIS white tongue is not the same as a white tongue of candida-patients. It looks more like that pale tongue that people with too low iron have. At least in my case. Because I was a month on Fluconazole and during a month my tongue only turned more white.

Yes maybe my white tongue is caused by reflux. I have reflux during the day. I just take a Rennie and then it is over. But maybe I also have reflux during sleep. And maybe I sleep so bad because of reflux. I like to sleep on a pillow with a bit of filling, so the pillow is not thick. Then maybe the chance of having reflux during sleep is bigger.

My tongue only gets white when I eat food that I am sensitive to.  It clears up when I don't.
I'm observing similar behaviour.

In my opinion a POIS white tongue is not the same as a white tongue of candida-patients.
I had a candida outbreak in my mouth. It hurt when I moved my tongue or any other tissue in my mouth in the slightest way during infection. I don't have this issue at all in general when my tongue is white.

I have had to scrape off white tounge coating almost every day for a decade. I think it is worse on POIS. I dont know how it is related to POIS but I believe that it is related to body acidity, suger intake (that might be cotrolled by cortisol issues), because when I eat an alkaline diet (lots of veggies/fruit) and stay off sugar I have less coating. I started to take apple cider vinegar (Braggs organic with the mother). 1 table spoon in a hot glass of water + 1 table spoon of raw organic honey each end every morning and after three weeks both me and my GF's wart under the foot fell off and disapeared. I've tryed so many things to treat that wart and all have failed. Now suddenly this work like a charm, so it must have some great positive effects on the body. Still take it every morning and hope it will have effect on my POIS and toughe coating as well.
