High Estrogen
« on: February 24, 2013, 11:33:28 AM »
Hi,  goods news.

finally I found the reason for POIS for me.  It is excess levels of Estrogen in the body.  Normal Estrogen level is between 10 to 50 pg/ml whereas my level is 55 pg/ml.  I read from the many sites that the estrogen level should be in lower level or high lower level.  But I am excess in it.  further my Testerstone level is 14.44 and it is in lower level.  My doctor told that this can be fixed by TRT.  As demo find the cure by  TRT I am also hoping cure in this TRT.  But the thing is I am not married and I require child in my life.  So, I am not willing to undergo TRT.  What are the natural ways of increasing TRT please help.

further, requesting the memebers to undergo EstrogenTest and post the results.

Very responsible outlook on TRT. Perhaps you can monitor your sperm count at a lab with your doctor?
Take smaller doses?

I really don't know but hopefully there are good answers. TRT saved my life (no more POIS ), but I LOST my sperm count (just not sure when, so TRT is not 100% sure the culprit in my case).

Also, I think my endocrinologist said the sperm loss could possibly be reversed.

You are correct to look at TRT very carefully. It carries risks.

I stopped estrogen in 4 days. It made me sick. Norethisterone was the Rx.

10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

Are you overweight? Losing weight could increase testosterone, I think.

Yes. Norethisterone. It just didn't agree with me.

Also nathan123, how did you get your hormone levels checked? I can't even get a referral to an endocrinologist. Do ordinary  blood tests measure hormonal levels? Are there ways to self-measure? Thanks.

Norethisterone is progesterone (not oestrogen). Progesterone does not cause female characteristics like breast formation and wait on the hips!
It does reduce testosterone in short term though. When you stop taking it testosterone starts to rise again.
I only take progesterone for two days in a row then have a break for at least a week.

I have normal total T but low free T so I must have low SHBG and higher oestrogens.
But I don't understand how higher oestrogen can cause Pois symptoms.
Anyway I found this idea very interesting.
Taurine = Anti-Pois
