Yup, udomhorn's right, it's just a shortened version of Going less Crazy. He responds to both, so you can use either.

Congrats on feeling a lot better udomhorn! I know GLC will be very happy when he comes back. His protocol has been working very well for him, and this is so great that it's helping you too. Keep us updated!

Great to hear that B jim. What type of curcuma you use? Is it the natural powder? Or you use manufactured supplement?

I've searched the internet and found that there is a product called BodyGUARD from Jamieson. It contains curcumin, ginger and boswellia.

Thanks. I have bought a supplement "garlic + olive leaf"  but I didn't touch it yet.

I use classic curcuma sold as kitchen spice. But if you had read my post on the naked scientist forum, you know I have great hopes with taurine. I eat fish every day until I receive my taurine supplement.

I recently started taking olive leaf  extract on a daily basis. (Around 150 MG oleuropein) I have also been taking 2400 MG of fishil along with it.  The effect wasn't immediate. But after a few days, I have noticed a big difference. My cognition appears to be getting so much better.  I have also orgasmed a  couple of times over these past few days. Ofcorse, this could be a placebo, so I'll obviously give it a while and post back later with my results.

Woah, sorry haven't been on for a while.  Yes OLE still works for me, still the same relief.  It seems as though you are going the total pois elimination route with niacin, benadryl and OLE.  That would be a way to definitely not have POIS (at least mine or our POIS).  I may have done that combo before but am not entirely sure.  Thats great that you are feeling better though.  My POIS protocol now is just 1200 mg OLE (totals to 240 mg oleuropein) 30 minutes prior to "O" and then 300 mg after (60 mg oleuropein), these pills contain 30 mg oleuropein per pill.  But if there was a way that I 100% wanted to eliminate any possible POIS I'd probably go your route minus the niacin because I'm not a big fan of that flush anymore, but sure the niacin would definitely help.  That's good that you are feeling relief.  And I definitely do recommend only taking it 30 mins before orgasm and not everyday... just from my own experimentation.  The reason I haven't been on for a while is that I have been feeling good and feel no need to come on here everyday apart from just checking what is going on with the research.  Good luck guys on your POIS adventure and I'll be back after I sail into the Olive Leaf Extract sunset rofl. :)

ps:  It does seem like the amount of OLE I am taking now helps any POIS rebound affect... basically I don't feel POIS once the affects of the OLE wear off.  The amount of 1200 mg keeps me POIS free for the days ahead.

Ok. So after trying OLE for a couple of days, I began to experience some nasty side effects.  For one, it seemed as if a few hours after ingesting OLE, I got racing thoughts, anxiety, and tachycardia (it was at 125 bpm resting at one point). I suddenly discontinued taking it and experienced headache and flu like symptoms for about a couple of hours. After that, I felt pretty normal. Anyone else get these side effects?

Glad you're still feeling good glc and that everything's okay. Your protocol is helping lots of poisers! It's so awesome you discovered this protocol, you're so smart! (I'm an even bigger glc fan now.) Keep on feeling good & don't forget to take the OLE. Stay POIS free & check back with us at least once every 2 months maybe to tell us your status, and to check on the research progress, right in NJ! :)

Well thanks but I can't take all the credit for the OLE.  It was Matsoda from the naked scientists forum (I believe) who began taking OLE in the first place.  Right now as of my OLE experimentation I can say it has about an 85-90% success rate, really depends on if you feel it in you before you "O", what you've eaten for digestion time and everything, etc.  So lately I ended up having a POIS episode probably from bad timing, but I cancelled it out the next day by taking the same 1200 mg OLE plus I added 50 mg Benadryl and waiting for 30 mins than having an "O".  I think this combo is definitely enough to eliminate my POIS agony and feel normal without risking having it.  It probably brings the odds to not feel POIS above 99%... you know there is always that chance.  I actually do feel better from taking the Benadryl with OLE.  Now I can really feel it in me and I know when I can "O".  I've had 2 "O" periods on this combination.  I think I will stick to this combo from now on.

Ok, let me just make a statement.  I really do believe the olive leaf/ Benadryl combo can build up in your system and your body can get used to it.  This weekend I decided to use my regimen of 8 150 mg caps of OLE along with 2 Benadryl on Thursday... Friday I had no POIS affects and because I was an idiot I felt like doing the same thing Saturday night...  That Saturday night I sweated all night long and woke up feeling "ok" but I noticed something was wrong by about 6 pm on Sunday (I usually sweat like that when POIS is about to come on, indicates an immune system reaction....).  Than I noticed POIS coming on.  The thing here is I believe you should only do this once a week MAXIMUM.  I was right when I thought that the OLE can build up in your system and your body would get used to it.  Again, I'd recommend only doing this once a week.  Pick a day and stick to it.  That's my plan,,, sorry in POIS currently hopefully by tomorrow this terrible feeling/inflammation will go away.  I always think its not that bad but when I'm in a POIS episode OMG, nothing quite as terrible like it.

let me revise my previous statement... i feel that i felt pois because of the turmeric i was taking.  it affected absorption of OLE and benadryl.  id still advise to do this once a week and if you take turmeric only take it 36 or so hours after or before O.  dont take it within 36 hours of Oing.

POISrival you really need the extract as OLE contains oleuropein which is probably the main ingredient that causes POIS reduction.

So far I can say that you shouldn't have more than 2 "O's", you might be able to get away with 3, or you can just do 1 "O" to be safe.  Sometimes I go off on a tangent and keep "O'ing" because I feel good.  It is only until the medication wears off, about 2 days after "O", when POIS sometimes hits hard depending on how many "O's" I had.  My OLE procedure with Benadryl (in bio) is definitely good for 1 "O" and possibly 2 or 3.  The more you "O" the greater chance of having and developing POIS symptoms as the medication wears off (in 2 days for me).  It is all about finding how many "O's" you can have safely compared to the amount of medication you take.

I am now thinking of using niacin along with the OLE concoction to possibly ensure an even greater reduction in POIS and lessen the chances of having a reaction.

Just wanted you guys to know even though I am on my diet I went back to olive leaf extract for continual relief of symptoms.

I've been eating a lot of beans on my diet.  And ever since I introduced them I've been getting pois symptoms that last literally 24 hours only.  So instead of getting rid of beans, since I don't feel bad after eating them, and because I need the calories, I've gone to OLE for relief of symptoms.  This makes POIS non existent for those 24 hours post O and I can still eat beans.

If you look at the autoimmune Paleo diet they recommend avoiding beans.  Not sure exactly, because I didnt do the research, why beans would mess with me for pois symptoms.  So I've gone back to OLE and it worked the previous two times.

Basically just an update... I'll reply the next time I'm on whenever that'll be.

Hope you guys are doing well

Sincerely,

Going Less Crazy

Update:. I do not use any OLE or anything at all if I follow the AIP diet

Beans contain lectins which can cause an inflammatory response in the body, also they reduce absotption of nutrients from foods.

Hi,
Indeed, I noticed that outside the POIS period, where I am in very good health, I sometimes suddenly feel a state similar to the POIS (50%) and that can last up to 2 days. This without any noticeable change of habit of life except what I eat.

Recentely, I went to a neurologist, after exposing my symptoms, he immediately concluded that it is related to inflammation after orgasm, so he prescribed anti-inflammatory drugs two hours before an orgasm .

Thanks for your kind words, Rare :-)

It sounds like indomethacine 100mg.  100mg is a rather high dose  ( it is the maximum single dose, and the maximum daily dose is 200mg).  Like other NSAIDs, better to take it with food, it is hard on the stomach.

Let us know of your results after some time.
