Hi Rare,

Rectal absorption of drugs is lower than oral absorption, so 100mg in suppository may be roughly equal to 50 to 75 mg in oral capsules, which is a medium dosage.

Keep in mind that 100mg once in a week is not a concern, even orally.  This dose may become a concern if you take 100mg daily, and still worst if you take 100mg two times a days for many days.  My goal was to put your dose in proportion, to compare with indomethacine doses like 25mg, or 50mg, in order to help compare with what would be needed with other NSAIDS.  For example, 100mg of indomethacine would be more equal, in naproxen, to 500mg,  rather than to 250mg.   ( my goal was not to make you worry about the dosage you take, which is correct ).

The rectal administration may have some advantage in POIS, if we consider that the initial triggering of the immune reaction is in the prostate/genital region.  The absorbed anti-inflammatory drug will have higher concentration in this region when given in suppository.  To verify if this is the case, we would need to compare the same NSAID for oral vs rectal administration, in order to see if one route of administration is more effective than the other.

I am planning to try using this Olive Leaf Extract BEFORE orgasm. The main reason is that I'm trying to find another alternative treatment beyond niacin. I have developed a mild form of psoriasis and I think there is somehow a correlation between niacin usage and these itchy rashes. That doesn't mean I won't use it, because the success still continues and it effectively kills my POIS, but I think it could be really good if I find another alternative.

I have already used this OLE some days ago - I took niacin but didn't have the flush, so I had some POIS after the O. - I took some OLE and it made my POIS dissappear for some time, but then it came back again. I am suspecting that it could work better before Orgasm, as niacin does. When I have taken niacin in a POIS episode, I feel some relief after the flush but then the effect fades away. For niacin to work completely, it has to be taken BEFORE orgasm.

So my question to the fellow forum users that have some experience with OLE is: Do you take it before orgasm? How much? And how long before it?

I will use it next week so I will post here the results.

Best Regards,

We probably have some good info here on the thread about that.  For me, if I remember correctly, I'd take about 3-5 pills of the 150mg 20%?? Oleurepin kind about 30 mins prior or until you feel it in you, than O, if you feel pois creeping up the next day take another pill.  But I wouldn't recommend taking it as part of a daily regimen.
My POIS managed with Diet (@ diet that 100% manages my pois)Believe my POIS stems from inflammation in the gut. O = neuro POIS from inflammation from the gut

supps: microdose zyrtec if needed for food sens. ibuprofen for infl. as needed. Melatonin as needed. Big Pinch Black cumin  seeds once daily

Good luck with that.  I never tried the liquid version but I believe matsoda from the NSF has successfully.

Well, As I said I took the liquid version and I definitely felt an effect. However, matsoda took 50 ml daily whereas I only took between 3-5 ml before O.. I experienced more sexual power, and it was really noticeable. Unfortunately, as soon as I had the orgasm I knew that POIS was coming, and I had POIS (between mild and medium intensity if you ask me) for the last 2-3 days. Today I decided tha t I had enough of POIS , so I took my normal niacin dosage  and had another O. Now I'm out of POIS again.

I am going to experience with the dry version, since it contains more oleuropein. I think I am going to follow Going Less Crazy's advice. Firstly, I will try 300 mg (two pills) so I will come back here next week in order to share my results.

From my own experience, I found that taking a good amount of pills the first time does not really effect me in a negative way.   However taking pills subsequently, more than 2 days in a row I started feeling some nausea and upset stomach, low mood, etc.  Still better than crippling pois but this is why I recommended just for POIS use, once weekly or something around there.

I also did get a canker sore last time I had a pill which never happens.  I don't know if I really ate something bad or just my gut still recovering from a month long antibiotic use.

Unfortunatelly impossible fo find where I live, I wanted to give a try. :-X
no sugar diet helps me a tiny bit, also makes my mind much calmer in general. Sugar is definitely something my body does not handle well. Also I noticed that other inflammations like a hangover are better since I quit sugar. I avoid sweet fruits as well.
