Standard severity of symptoms
« on: March 07, 2025, 07:41:51 PM »
Greetings fellow POIS enthusiasts - while I have not been formally diagnosed, I'm pretty sure I suffer from this condition and was curious if anyone could provide feedback on the overall severity of my symptoms, given a description below at the given number of days after emission.

Within first day: Totally spaced out, mind blasted away, cognitive functioning slowed significantly, subjective sensation of blood draining from PFC (hard to describe)

Days 1 - 2: Difficulty with word finding, slurred speech, racing thoughts, tangential thoughts, cognitive disorganization, poor working memory, pressured speech, anxiety, extreme irritability, sensory and emotional hypersensitivity, pacing, itchy/burning eyes, nasal irritation, watery eyes, burning face, fatigue, difficulty concentrating

Days 3 - 4: Increased fatigue, muscle weakness, sensation of bodily slowness, slowed pace of thought and speech, digestive issues, gradual reduction in initial cognitive symptoms, sensation of itchiness or pain in head unlike a usual headache

Days 5 - 6: Feeling of increased "activity" (almost like a fluid) in brain as mental quickness returns, gradual reduction in other symptoms

Beyond day 7: Gradual decrease in all symptoms, usually takes at least a week and a half total to return to baseline

GarbonzoBeans, welcome to the POIS forum! Excellent description of your experience.
10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of weekly (52 weeks/year) testosterone self-injections.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I've always considered myself a good writer, I'm glad I can apply it to something this valuable.
