Elective Orchidectomy
« on: August 23, 2023, 10:43:21 PM »
Hello. I am a transsexual woman and I am planning on having an elective orchidectomy. I have been suffering from Pois since I was 13 now I am 31 years old. Through an unpredictable turn of events I have lost the function of one of my testicles thus resulting in the alleviation of Pois symptoms which has made my entire life more bearable. I am still suffering from brain fog quite a lot though, up to 2 months at a time, a symptom which has existed long before I lost the function of the testicle. I am wondering if the elective surgery would help me overall, especially because I am taking anti androgen medication and estradiol. Please let me know about your thoughts. Thank you.

AP, welcome to the Forum.
10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business
