One point:  apart from C-reactive protein level to test for chronic inflammation, the article mentions another test:  myeloperoxidase, or MPO, an enzyme released by white blood cells that kills harmful bacteria in inflamed blood vessels, but too much is not good.  Has anybody had it tested?
