Hello everyone, I test SIBO yesterday and it is positive. I have ever kill Helicobacter pylori twice so I think maybe my SIBO was caused by the antibiotics and proton pump inhibitors when I handled Helicobacter pylori. Some studies have shown that PPIs can affect intestinal bacteria significantly. A study in China has shown that long term use of proton pump inhibitors can significantly reduce the number of intestinal bifidobacteria and Lactobacillus, damage the intestinal biological barrier and increase the risk of enterogenous infection.(

And I read from google that these two kind of bacteria can affter out immune system significantly----which may cause POIS. Have anyone of you do a 16SDNA test for your intestinal bacteria? I am going to do it after cure my SIBO.
