Voluntary goosebumps
« on: August 20, 2021, 01:02:15 PM »
Can anyone here induce voluntary goosebumps?

It's a rare phenomenon, and gives one a pleasant euphoric feeling throughout the body for 5-10 seconds.

I have had this ability since as long as I remember, thus I can voluntarily induce a state of euphoria in my body at will for 5-10 seconds.

According to the low end of informal estimates, about one in every 1500 people have something called Voluntarily Generated Piloerection (VGP)?the ability to consciously give themselves goosebumps

Scientists Are Stumped, because it defies our current understanding of the autonomous nervous system.

I wonder could this have something to do with POIS? Could other POISers have it as well?

Yeah I already noticed this a long time ago that I could mentally induce those voluntary goosebumps by fantasizing about being in some heroic scenario or in some movie as a protagonist and just thinking of anything exciting and elevating
