Chronic Masturbation and Seizure-like responses to Orgasm
« on: February 01, 2022, 10:50:23 PM »
Hello-

This is my first post and I am new into researching POIS so forgive me if I posted this incorrectly or it's answered somewhere else.

I'm curious how many of you would consider yourselves to have a history of chronic masturbation when you were in teens-20's? I certainly did and am wondering if I developed POIS later in life as an auto defense from engaging in such behavior again or if the chronic masturbation was so draining and caustic to the rest of my body/brain that POIS was developed to limit the behavior.

Also:

I've dealt with Premature Ejaculation my entire sexual life, with nearly all partners, all the time, regardless of length of relationship or other factors. When I do orgasm during intercourse, I become hypersensitive, almost seizure-like, with my muscles contracting, my head and neck tensing up and sometimes uncontrollable spasms. If orgasm is achieved outside the vagina, it becomes too much and I can't have my wife touch my penis until the sensation passes. Does anyone else experience something like this?

Thanks for reading, hoping we can find a solution that caters to each of our individual needs.

We have two polls that seem to contradict each other:

https://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=3279
(But maybe the 'no' to one of the polls is for this part of the sentence: "and we get symptoms because our body need time to make semen and it cant tolerate more semen loss. ")

I see no contradiction in those two polls, the first is more specific and the other asks for your opinion. Neither is specific enought to draw any conclutions. What is "overmasturbation" anyway? What about those who dont get POIS, do they "overmasterbate" too?

Anyway the seemen does contain important minerals, like zink, that is very essential for the immune system. Stress in also consuming alot of zink. Thats why I believe that masturbation in combination with hight stress migh be a releasing factor to pois. Then we have the dopamine production that might steel resources from other hormones. The body is all a game of give and take.

Yes, I've experienced bullying and have a family history of depression and anxiety so I think I was prone to the onset of those feelings regardless of POIS. My symptoms are:

IMMEDIATELY: Throbbing Eyes, Headache, Muscle fatigue, Congestion, Cough, Lethargy, Irritability, Brain fog, Cumbersome movement/dexterity

OVER NEXT DAYS UNTIL RETURN TO NORMALCY: Depression, Guilt, Anxiety, Lethargy, Persisting cough

The extreme immediate symptoms are new (sub 6 months) which is what drove me to research their cause however the depression and anticipatory anxiety of being over drained after ejaculation has been around for 10-15 years. I have 2 kids under the age of 6 that I am a primary care giver for so I have to pick when it's acceptable to have sex as to not be such an asshole zombie when I need to be taking care of them. I was previously (4 years ago) very active on the NoFap forum and found abstaining from masturbation to be a good tool for self reflection to show what not ejaculating can make you feel like: happy/normal (for a few days at least) but at the time, I wasn't experiencing the extreme physically conditions I do now post ejaculation.

A lot of people here have delayed symptoms. If you have immediate Headache, a doctor might know Sexual headache (might be part of ICD-10 G44.8 ).

I'm writing this so you maybe you have an easier time talking to a doctor than talking about "this POIS thing I found on the internet". I'm not writing this to say you don't (also) have POIS.

It's worth sayig again. Often times when I'm on holliday, pois after orgasm is like gone, and when I'm back at the grey everyday it comes back again. I think I have tooo much stress around and I strongly belive pois is very related to the stress factor.
