@ Hopeoneday My breathing gets worse from certain foods, so in my case and what HOD is saying, digestion is involved. For those who will be seeing a Pulmonologist for this, please share that your digestive system or what foods you eat could be triggering this shortness of breath or choking. I notice that for me it can come from restaurant foods such as from local mexican restaurants, so I need to be careful. I eat mainly plain whole foods with very few ingredients and I did find relief from this breathing issue; not 100% better but alot better. I have a list of foods and ingredients that I know are safe. I don't know the mechanism behind this. I am sharing this because my pulmonologist recommended a corticosteroid inhaler when she did not know or I know what was causing my SOB exactly, even when my scans of my lungs would always come back normal.
For the person who asked what happens if I eat tomatoes, I don't eat tomatoes because of my sensitive digestion. but do plan to reintroduce. With nuts, they can give me stomach pain, but I rely on them for my energy since they are so nutritious and are packed with calories. I try to mix as much as I can. The goal of course is to eat as much foods and different varities as possible with no issues or very little issues as possible.
