Advice needed for Psychosis
« on: January 20, 2021, 11:32:20 AM »
Look at dec 2020 update for my brother: https://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=2545.msg32238#msg32238

He never have been the same since then. He has frequent psychosis on daily basis (sometimes snaps out of it), memory loss, schitzophrenia according to my mother. Doctors don't seem to have time and don't investigate (don't even look at poiscenter site for options). My parents are aging and I have difficulties managing my own life. Any advice for short term medication? Anti-psychotics don't work, SSRIs do not work, he builds up tolerance for benzos quickly. He will end up in a clinic this way and they will give him meds and food he will react to and decline further.

Sorry to hear this, autism, ALS, Alzheimer’s, schizophrenia share some features of each other so this science review website on autism could be helpful they have 47 articles mentioning schizophrenia. EG: these conditions can share the same treatments

https://epiphanyasd.blogspot.com/search/label/Schizophrenia

I only read the first post but it recommended vasopressin as a possible treatment for autism and schizophrenia.

I watched this a while ago, this drs son had schizophrenia and he cured it by treating the cell danger response.

edit* I forgot to link the video lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zi7dZQwa8YQ&t=2935s

I saw this in the comments also just now:
Search ceruloplasmin and schizophrenia.  One study of 30 schizophrenics gave them ceruloplasmin and 13 had complete remission.  Another 13 had substantial improvement.  Morley Robbins has developed a pro-ceruloplasmin diet.

Sorry man :(
I hope things somehow go well for you and your family.

Honestly, I don't think there is a simple short term solution. All I can think of is a Goldstein style treatment, haven't you recently found that a doctor in the Netherlands is interested in it?

Otherwise I think psychiatric hospital is the only option for now, schizophrenia is a difficult thing to experience :(

What about Lithium, Phenibut, Cyproheptadine something of those types?
