lol. I think you're saying that you're busy working on it. :D

It's been a while since I've been on here (even though I still have POIS--just have much, much bigger problems right now), and it's good to see the progress and the community still around. :D

I just discovered this forum yesterday. At a minimum there needs to be a moderated thread for case profiles only. Just history. No speculative discussion of causes and cures.

Hi Dirkstar and welcome to the forum.

There is such a thread, for personal POIS summaries and histories, at http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=81.msg327#msg327 .

Note that it is more than five years old, and if you are used to forums, you will know that it is not "pure" case profiles anymore, but you will find many, there.

I suggest to remove the antispam check for each post because I think will discourage potential new members, I had some trouble to find which user was admin but finally made it, this isn't a large forum so I don't think we will suffer an invasion of bots. ;D

Hi Unvers,

Well, that's exactly why we had to put that kind of questions up , we were infested with spammers, bots and fake members.   To give you an idea, we had 200 to 400 new "members" a week, which was obviously impossible for a rare condition like POIS.  At one point, this little forum, which has currently approx 550 members, had over 14 000 members ! ... a huge pruning had to be done.   It is maybe due to some word search that is done by bots... we do find words here like "orgasm" or "ejaculation" or "prostate"... that is maybe what attracts bots here.

Now, gone are the days when we come to the forum in the morning only to find 14 threads of foreign languages porn ads......

Sorry for the inconvenience, we understand that the registration process is a little harder, but it was really needed.

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place to bring this up, but I thought it would be extremely helpful if you could easily tell from a post what the POIS symptoms of the poster are, since apparently there are quite some different types of POIS. What one person writes does not necessarily apply to all members.

I've listed my POIS symptoms in my signature but the signature doesn't seem to be updated in my older posts.

Thanks & keep up the good work!

Yes good idea, i opened tread to put there symptomes in detail nobody responde.
I think that treads like this sugestion must be sticky. But this is on mods.
If mods make tread sticky all people will respond.

Hi Dizzy and HOD,

Similar threads already exist on the forum.  A big one can be found at http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=81.100

However, after a time, those threads tend to turn into conversations thread, or are forgotten, or are not found by newcomers....   the one above is a sticky, is well in evidence at the top of the Lifestyle Diary forum board, is titled "POIS Summaries and Histories", but nevertheless, it is rarely referred to or posted in....the proof being that you both never saw it.

Just to say that it is very hard to keep any thread "alive" for a long time.

This tread name must be changed if you ask me.
Two most important things for us-1. Our symptomes in and out of pois, 2. medical test results. (and compare them in anodher tread(allredy exist since recently).

Ok, so the problem is that users forget/ignore the conventions used. One suggested way to solve this (not sure how much work it is):

Would something like this be possible?

By the way, it would also be nice to see if the user is male/female :) and perhaps the country of the user could be shown next to each post.
