Sometimes immidiately after an O I would feel very low, even if I was excited just seconds before. This usually happens when I try to force an O even though I'm not 100% aroused or mentally lustful. Some chemical balance in brain changes because it's not sufficiently prepared for an incoming O?

how long does the depression last for you???also do you experience skin change and swelling lips and nose??
I have the same experience, feel depressed immediately after O sometime it happens a lot when i have weak orgasm, the last 3 orgasm I had I took 150mg niacin and 5000ui vit D beforehand and I didnt have depression right after, but it could be just coincidence

If my O is weak, then I'll get depression and mild brain fog for the next 48 hours. But if I reach a very intense, satisfying O, then the opposite happens: I feel extremely euphoric/high for the next 48 hours.

My low mood can worsen if I experience other POIS symptoms simultaneously. Because sometimes I get horrible 8/10 chest and back pains, and having those drastically worsens and prolongs my depression. Though next time I'm gonna try to avoid pain by adding NSAID to my prepack.

also do you experience skin change and swelling lips and nose??

Don't have these, but right now the only skin changes triggered by my POIS are cyst on ears, bumps on scalp and sometimes mild jaundice. Though out of POIS I get granuloma annulare (or ringworm?), fordyce spots on lips, wrinkly fingertips and weird yellow stripes across calves.

mike_sweden, I agree.
10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business

I get terrible depression if I abstain for more than 10 days or so.

I feel that too but after a few weeks I would feel a lot better, I think the nofappers call it the flatline where theres temporary worse symptoms after quitting masturbate/orgasm.

I have POIS way before I got depressed, my depression/anxiety was triggered not by POIS but by life event related anxiety and panic attacks, after that POIS always worsen my depression but I would feel a lot better if I dont orgasm for a couple of months.

I have sometimes short depressive episodes in Pois. And out of Pois when I work too much and too hard. I try to take vitamin C, magnesium and omega 3 (fish) which are the 3 elements with real effect on cortisol.

For Pois, taurine is the real thing that helps me. I can't understand how does it work.
Taurine = Anti-Pois

See Taurine in Goldstein's decision tree: https://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=3551.msg38066#msg38066
I wonder whether baclofen will help you.

I've got a book about neurosomatic disorders that mentions (chronic/suicidal) depression and offers alternatives for it aside from SSRIs. Send me a personal message if you are interested in the book.
