Semen Desensitization for POIS - - Alert
Popularized by the late Marcel Waldinger, I have been increasingly concerned and alarmed about the basis of this technique.
Waldinger’s study claims that 45 POISers were studied.
I began with this forum in 2007 (in that year, the predecessor name for POISCenter.com was Naked Science Forum/POIS thread).
It took me years to see 45 POISers. WORLDWIDE. That is the basis of my deep skepticism: how could 45 POISers have been found to study desensitization: in only The Netherlands, a relatively tiny country. My impression is that many of the 45 subjects were suffering primarily from Premature Ejaculation (Waldinger’s specialty) - and not POIS
This is only one man’s opinion: me.
I encourage you to research this potentially dangerous technique (there is a possibility of a sometimes-fatal reaction called anaphylactic shock) - - VERY carefully.
Personally, I would not recommend it.
As Limejuice mentioned, it has not been approved anywhere and Waldinger himself told me on the phone that promoting desensitization was questioned by his hospital’s Ethics Committee.
