Low serum vitamin D is associated with an increased likelihood of acquired premature ejaculation

Take a look under the vitamin D header on page 1 of this thread (serotonin).

A new hit on scholar:

https://books.google.nl/books?hl=nl&lr=&id=3PD6DwAAQBAJ&oi=fnd&pg=PA491&dq=post+orgasmic+illness+syndrome&ots=qBmOh_TADF&sig=awkvF8f-bOt-NJwLofYvU5tZKik&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q=post%20orgasmic%20illness%20syndrome&f=false

Anyone got access to the full article? Some pages are blocked.

Symptoms escalated due to stress. I've seen this mentioned a few times on this forum over the years. Stress seem to be a trigger. Mast cell disorders are not mentioned in the suggested theories under key messages...

The book is on sci-hub (chapter 33):

Thanks hurray, tried sci-hub but for some reason didn't work. Your link however is working.

"When tested between ejaculations, he was found not to have these conditions and to have an IQ of 150."

We have some polls in the poll category about intelligence and education. Dr. Bassett is located in Sheffield teaching hospitals NHS. That's where I have tested a couple of mast cell activation markers. I've sent her an email.

Ok nevermind, automatic reply: "I am now on maternity leave until June 2021"

Immediate hypersensitivity to seminal fluid and atopic dermatitis

"Serum from the husband and nonrelated men also contained antigen that provoked histamine release from the patient's leukocytes in vitro. The antigen in serum was associated with the globulin fraction and had a temporal relationship to ejaculation, appearing within 12 hours of ejaculation and disappearing within four days."

It's an antigen for the woman's leukocytes but circulates in the serum of men up to 4 days? Just like the timing seen in POISers.

A new manifestation of seminal fluid hypersensitivity

Anatomy and Physiology of Erection, Ejaculation, and Orgasm

"Through activation of specific protein kinases, protein phosphorylation leads to opening of potassium channels, closing of calcium channels".

"Neurotransmitters play an important role in regulating ejaculation. Studies have shown that activation of serotonin 5HT1A receptors promotes ejaculation, while 5HT1B delays ejaculation [ 52 ]. Activation of dopamine receptors D2 and D3 promotes ejaculation"

"While these are similar between genders, in men there is additional activation in the periaqueductal gray matter."

Table 1 Summary of the 3 clinical POIS cases.

Some of the symptoms above sound like neuromuscular transmissions problems. Here is another one regarding swallowing:
