Water on POIS
« on: October 09, 2019, 08:42:55 PM »
DISCLAIMER: This is my personal opinion, and I'm not recommending it to anybody. I'm not a doctor either.

I have been drinking a lot of water and salt. It has been making a huge difference in my energy levels.
I found out this:
https://www.watercures.org/natural-antihistamine.html

It says that water and salt act like the best anti histamines in the world.
As you may know, many people here are discussing about the effects of histamine on POIS. We want to reduce it. I found out one of the best ways to do this is cutting coffee which dehydrates de body, and drinking 4 liters of water a day, with himalayan salt.
PEACE!

I think so, too Aladin
10 years of major POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks associated with it.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business.

Used to drank gallons for years and alot of salt including himalayan salt. All it did was flushing minerals and nutrients out of the body, that is what water does at higher amounts - it's a solvent and at higher amounts it actually dehydrates and causes electrolyte imbalance. It only made muscle weakness worse.

i don't see how this is beneficial... might as well take 2 anti-histamine tablets

I also get huge benefits from drinking four litres of water a day and I don't even need to use salt with it. That in addition with heavy weight lifting, avoiding high gi foods or high histamine foods seems to be all contributing massively to my general wellbeing.

This works for me too although I drink 3 liters (not the recommended 2 liters - 8 cups).

Limejuice, think I could try this with TRT?

During summer I drink 3 to 5 liters of water. But I need to add salt in water to balance the loss.
I noted salt decreases muscle termors symptom.

Seems fairly safe to me and might elevate levels of free testosterone slightly with the increase of blood circulation. Kidney’s can remove 5gal of water/day, and study’s show nutrient removal starts with +2gal/day. I’m sure patient size/weight is an important variable too. So 3/4 gal (or 3 liters) seems relatively safe :)
