Brain Fog
« on: June 19, 2019, 10:09:12 PM »
Even as a child, I always felt sluggish and always had some form of brain fog. When I first started experiencing Pois (at puberty), I assumed it was all part of the same problem. When I discovered this forum (a couple years ago), it was very surprising to me that most people with Pois do not have any brain fog when not in Pois. Just wondering how many people are like me and always have some brain fog regardless of Pois.

For me, the clarity on day 7 after POIS is astounding. The brain fog clears up over the course of day 6 and by day 7, I'm completely clear. It goes from making basic reading errors sightreading simple music to being able to read down an entire concerto with very few mistakes.
Symptoms last 6-7 days. Onset of muscle weakness after 30 seconds. Symptoms include: brain fog, fatigue, depression, pale skin/dark circles under eyes,  digestive problems, difficulty taking a full breath, irritability. NONE of these are present out of POIS.

Hi Moses!

No, as a child I never ever had brain fog and was never sluggish. Luckily, back then, my mind was extremely sharp and fast. Now, with POIS I do often get severe brain fog particularly for words and sentences. When I don't have symptoms I'm back to my usual quick-minded self. I would guess from this that POIS cannot be predicted from childhood based on brain fog in childhood...but maybe I am an exception?
Symptoms last 4-7 days: brain fog, itchy/watery eyes, warm sensation in back, difficulty getting full breath, headache, muscle spasms, weak legs, fast heart rate, stomach pain, social isolation, anxiety. Symptoms not present out of POIS state. Currently on daily Fexofenadine and low-histamine diet

Yes. The clarity after POIS for me is astounding too.
10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business
