Anhedonia and Bluntness
« on: March 27, 2019, 06:32:30 AM »
I am currently in POIS mode and also sick so I've been at home for the last 3 days.

During the last 3 days I have failed to find something to do that I would enjoy. I tried watching youtube/twitch and anime... but I cant really get into any of those I just feel blunt... dont feel excited or intrigued by the video/story.

I have all the time in the world but am wasting it on lying in bed watching things just for the sake of passing time.

I really feel like my dopamine receptors get fucked up in POIS, and pair it with the low energy because I am sick and you get tjis andhedonic... disgusting blunt feeling.

I know your theory is that POIS is connected to dopamine and I agree.

I think you’ve summarized well our group’s enormous frustration.
10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business

No, that's b_jim's theory. I think there is something going on with the autonomic nervous system in general. Dopamine could play a role, who knows.
