Balanitis
« on: March 11, 2019, 09:36:28 AM »
I have Balanitis which is inflammation of the glans penis, I mainly seem to get these bright red rashes when I need to urinate and once I urinate they end up disappearing. I also get a loss of pigment (white spots) which randomly occur on my glans but then also go back to normal after a while.

My Balanitis isn't from soap irratation or anything I think it is from some type of chronic infection or maybe it is just an autoimmune rash. I tell doctors about this and they never seem to care and say its normal but the rashes over the months have gradually become a much brighter red than before.

I am sure some of you guys have the same thing what are your thoughts on this?

Yes I have this too. It could be because of candida. Ask your doctor if you can get miconazol for the skin. It helped me a bit. But in my case I think it has to do with urticaria. If one doctor can not help you, then go find someone else who will help you. POIS is diffucult , but balanitis is something that is well known.
POIS since 2000. Very bad since 2008. I knew that I have POIS since June 2010. Desensitization since March 2011. I stopped with desens in July 2016. I have 50% less POIS. And only 1 day of POIS. Purified CBD works for me, but I am allergic for CBD.

Please refrain from offering specific personal medical advice.

This is not even allowed for a doctor-on-the-Internet.

Especially for so-called “candida”.
10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

I have itching and a couple dark patches of pigmentation in that area. I use aqueous cream instead of soap in the shower and then I apply the aqueous cream again after showering and leave it on throughout the day.

I had problems with balanitis 6 months ago. Luckily, I have a free sexual health clinic near where I live. After a quick physical examination, the doctor prescribed me with some Canesten cream (Clotrimazole and Hydrocortisone). I applied it for a week, and I have had no further problems.

If you have access to a similar service, I would recommend making a visit. As a bonus, they tested me for STDs as well.
