I have come to this forum several times over the period of the past two years or so but only registered recently. For the first time I have hope that there is something that could really help us. I saw that someone else opened a topic already in the beginning of this year. Apparently it didn't get much attention since nobody ever posted anything under the initial post which I think is a pity and might be due to a poor summarization/articulation of the idea/concept.

I decided to post it again so that as many people as possible will see it to kickstart a conversation since I really believe that this has HUGE potential.

I also saw the Joe Rogan podcast with Dr. Neil Riordan and Mel Gibson. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE HERE TO WATCH THE PODCAST (I usually never use capitalised words I just really hope to get as many people as possible to join the conversation and share their opinions)

Dr. Neil Riordan who is an American physician has been treating patients with stem cells for a bit over 10 years now in Panama since this is one of a couple of places where this is legal in the world and the only place where they offer this scope of treatments.

In the podcast Mel Gibson tells about his father who was very close to kick the bucket at the age of 92. He had a long list of problems like bad vision, kidney/liver/heart problems, couldn't walk anymore and so forth. Mel brought him to the Mayo clinic and the doctors said he would die within two weeks if he left the hospital and that he needed a hip transplant among other things but chances were high that he would never awake from the anesthesia given his age and state. After being skeptical himself Mel Gibson brought him to Dr. Neil Riordan eventually since he thought he didn't have much to lose anyway. After the stem cell treatment Mel's dad was able to walk without any problems and got significantly better on almost all levels and still lives to this day and is 100 years now.

Now I know this sounds a lot like hocus-pocus and I'm generally a skeptical person as well and I was watching the video very critically. First off he doesn't use any embryonic stem cells which are the ones that have made horror-story headlines in the past like teeth growing out of shoulders and creating carcinogens and so forth but only uses umbilical cord-derived adult stem cells which dont seem to have any side effects that go beyond some flu-like symptoms for a couple of days.
In the podcast Dr. Riordan explains how, unlike it was thought before, it's not the stem cells that adapt to the environment but that they secrete a substance that modulates the immune system, migrates to areas that are inflamed and reduces inflammation and even regenerates cells/tissue to a certain extent.

After Mel Gibson's dad's story Mel Gibson goes on to say that he has also gotten injections and his shoulder has gotten almost a hundred 100% back to normal since. Joe Rogan (the podcaster) adds then that he also had Stem cell treatment with someone else (also for his shoulder I think it was) and it helped him greatly too. The doc went on to describe case after case and how it helped people with all kinds of different diseases.

From my understanding Dr. Riordan not only uses umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells that are generally way more efficient than adipose-derived ones which are the ones that are exclusively used at the few places in the US where this kind of treatment is provided (at a smaller scale and in a restricted way) which are gradually being shut down due to FDA regulations. But Having been analyizing the effects of the injected stem cells retrospectively for ten years they are cultivating stem cells that have been proven to have the highest efficacy.

Given all the things people have tried here don't you guys think this is something that potentially this is something highly interesting to look into? I have done bit of reading and watched more videos since and I really think there could be a lot of potential here. I know there are some (despite their deficits) very smart and dedicated people in here and I would love them to share their views on his.

Please don?t make the mistake to be dismissive or overlook this. I'm sure enough of you have dealt with those kind of people way too often.

I apologize again for opening a new topic but I really hope this picks up steam.
I?m not doing this to get attention or anything I?m actually a pretty lazy person when it comes to writing and I have been wanting to post this for months and finally forced me to sit down and do this.

Sorry for typos or anything I'm not a native speaker.

An user on /r/POIS thinks mesenchymal stem cell injections may help, he has had a history of head injuries correlated with OCD other health issues
