emotions and POIS symptoms ?
« on: September 06, 2018, 02:40:31 AM »
Hi

I'm new on the forum, My English will be average ( I speak French ).
I would like to open a discussion on a personal assumption.
Would it be possible that POIS occurs more often when we are less emotionally involved with the orgasm. In others words, if you really feel love feelings during the orgasm, you would have no POIS symptoms ?
I admit this is a strange assumption but I believe it could be possible.  If you have something to share about that it would be great

Bonjour Sigg, et bienvenue sur le forum!

In my case, I am in a long term relationship ( 30 years, currently :) ) , and the fact that I love my spouse has no effect on my POIS.   What, however, can be detrimental and lead to more emotionnal symptoms, is if I already have a hig level of anxiety before O.   this anxiety may be linked to my relationship itself, when there may hav been some tension between us, but may be related to my work, or anything else.  It is not about where my anxiety comes from, but how high it is.

For many years, now, by regular practice of meditation, and also thanks to long term psychotherapy, and the use of my pre-pack, regular exercise, healthy diet and all, I have a very good control on my anxiety level, which is nowin the normal range.  So, my POIS is less sever, but I always need to take my stack of supplements before, if I want to have minimal to no POIS symptoms.
