Sorry to nag, but could you try to improve the situation? :-)

If I google for (in new private tab):
pois orgasm forum
We're not even on page 1.
We will lose people to using reddit.

I'm very keen on getting new members, also for things like increasing forum poll votes. (Are we spring Children?)

That's strange, an hour ago I checked and "pois orgasm forum" wasn't on page 1, as you said. But I just checked again, and we are now the second result! Maybe Google read our forum?!!  ;D ;D ;D

10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business

I just tried on Google, in a new private tab:
POIS forum :   Poiscenter forum index page is result #1
POIS orgasm forum : our forum index page is #2, and result #1 is the NIH page referring to our forum index page :   https://rarediseases.info.nih.gov/organizations/874

That's very good.

with less specific search terms like:
feeling sick after orgasm
fatigue after orgasm

You get different results, like nausea after sex, but also the POIS Wikipedia page, and the like.  From there, the forum is not that hard to find.

Just ten years ago, you would have hardly find any result with a similar search.  I have POIS for over 40 years now, and had found this forum only 5 years ago.  I wish it would have existed when I was younger, and that it would have been THAT easy to find.

Nevertheless, when the short summer here will be gone and that I will have more time to do so, I intend to recreate the POISCenter homepage, but I am not a professional in web programming, and was not the one who have created the site, and it had not been created with tools I am used to, so it will be a very slow process. However, I intend to work on poiscenter, com SEO, like adding tags and metadescriptions, and so on... but no time for for it now ( I would have time now if the site would have been in a platform I know, like Wordpress, but it is not).

If anyone knowledgeable in website programming is willing to help for this project, just let me know.

You are 100% responsible for what you do with anything I post on this forum and of any consequence it could have for you.  Forum rule: ""Do not use POISCenter as a substitute for, or to give, medical advice" Read the remaining part at http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=1.msg10259#msg10259

Hi Quantum,

Thank you so much for your great, dedicated efforts for improving this forum.

We are in a great position, thanks to your and others’ efforts, and now with your attention turning to SEO-and-related improvements, we’ll really be sailing!

Like you, my POIS history goes back many decades. It was like a “jungle” out there, every man and beast was on its own. This led to primitive pursuits to end POIS madness, which rarely worked for anyone.

Now, thanks to you and others, we are teamed with 1,000 sufferers who can share their knowledge and make this POIS challenge - - working together - - much more bearable.

Yes. I think Google may have tweaked their algorithms a bit since we last discussed this in June - we seem to be quite a bit more visible now than we were before.

A lot of our "Google Juice" comes from backlinks - that one backlink from https://rarediseases.info.nih.gov/organizations/874 is extremely valuable. The more credible the source of the backlink, the more weight Google assigns to it.
