Sharing what i know : why you suffer P.O.I.S, what is POIS
« on: March 11, 2018, 05:47:52 AM »
Hello everyone,

After browsing this forum a little bit, i felt like i had to post a message because I was a bit surprised by the lack of understanding some people have of this issue. I don't want to seem presomptuous, i am just willing to help, because i am pretty confident about what i have understood over the years on this issue, as i personally discovered that i suffered greatly from it too.

So if you are looking for answers, this is is the right thread for you. And i will make it as short as possible.

Why do you suffer ill symptoms after sexual orgasm (in the case of males, ejaculation) ?

Because semen is a highly rich human product, and as it is said in Ayurveda, it is the cream of the body. It is a special substance that requires a lot of energy, minerals, chemicals to be produced by your body, and manufacturing is a very demanding process that takes a lot of life energy. So when you just throw it away you feel a diminishment in your life force, and depending on how much you have done it in the past and your physical condition you will suffer more or less from it.
Once the semen is expelled, this has 2 consequences : first you lose available resources for your body, which can be reabsorbed if needed, and secondly, the body has to remanufacture semen to replace the loss, so it will be very demanding on the body.

Why do some people suffer POIS and some others don't?

So to make it simple : orgasm are depleting everyone's energy. But some will suffer more from it than others, due to their physical condition and history regarding this matter. It is like cigarets : some people will smoke all their lifes without apparent major issues, but some will reach a point where they get throat cancer and cannot sustain the smoke of a single cigaret anymore. If you suffer POIS, chances are you abused yourself a lot during your life, probably masturbating etc....

But science tell me sex is good, etc...

Well, that's the tricky part : western science is totally wrong on this issue. I don't really know why, but it is pretty obvious once you experience the ill effects of sexual activity that they are missing something. I personally think that the western world is not free from dogmas, one being that sex is absolutely harmless and good for the body. This is not true when practiced in excess, it quicklys exhausts and hurt one's energy and physical condition. This is really the issue here, because the nature of the problem is not that hard to understand, but since people are taught to believe things are one way, they have a hard time understanding and admiting this issue.

What do i do now?

You reduce enormously your sex addiction and practice chastity as much as required. There are no other ways. If you are not willing to give up your sex addiction, then things will never improve for you. It is totally doable to stop sexual urges, but it is a process of gradually releasing this addiction. Some people would not believe me if i told them how long i am able to go without sexual stimulation. Most have been educated to think that strong sexual urges are normal and inherent to human nature, it is not really so. But this is another debate.

Nice video, although very oriented on brain chemistry and western medical science:

https://vimeo.com/113147667

Ps: i am not looking for a debate, and i will probably not post anymore after this thread. If anyone disagrees with me, it's okay! But i personally don't have much doubts about my understanding. Obviously there are other aspects, like hormonal releases, brain chemistry which is also affected by sex, but the main idea is that sex = depleting, too much sex = chronically depleted condition = ill symptoms after sex.

Regards.

I'm not trying to offend you or make it personal Dubbie. You are making bold statements without any scientific support or using very weak arguments. I hope you are aware of that, read your own thread again.

Dubbie, you owe an apology for that totally uncalled for, sarcastic comment to Muon.

That’s not the way we interact with each other here!

Check out the rules here, especially this one:

10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business

Dubbie, you owe an apology for that to Muon. By tonight, Sunday evening.

That’s not the way we interact here!

You are right demo.

Look Dubbie, POIS causes might range from hormonal to autoimmune. We don't know yet but I can tell you that what you said is nonsense. Most people here do no smoke, do not drink alcohol, have a healthy diet and have less orgasms than 99% of the population.

I would say that you owe an apology to the whole forum. Constructive criticism is always welcomed but your answer to Muon is not an example of it.

mod edit - - unnecessary long repetition of original post [see above 1st post]

Agree with everything you said. That's what our ancient medical science AYURVED says. Semen is the nectar of the body. Brahmacharya is the basis of life apart from food and sleep. Modern science is not only wrong but also very misleading and dangerous. I also used to believe in this POST ORGASMIC ILLNESS SYNDROME, bought useless supplements and vitamins and what not. Later understood that it's not a disease, it's the natural consequence of loss of semen. I feel sorry for them who don't understand this and believe in lab tests and experiments rather than their own experience.

Agree with everything you said [,Dubbie]
If that means you also believe in Dubbie’s unwanted outburst of moderated attack-remarks directed to Muon, perhaps you need to find a forum that is hostile to scientific inquiry or “modern science” as you call it. Not this one. Thank you and best wishes.
