Song about POIS
« on: December 07, 2017, 07:11:21 PM »
So I made a song about POIS, appropriately titled "P.O.I.S.", and really, how many people are going to relate to this song? Like, I mean, how many people outside of this website, or any other POIS community, are going to relate to it. So I should post it here then right? This song is on an 8 track album that I released like a year ago, and I haven't found an audience, so it's especially no surprise that I haven't got many people telling me they relate to this song.

Rather than this being some generic song about POIS (you know, since I'm sure so many of them exist  :P ), the song arose out of my own personal expression and venting of how it played into my life at the time. Of course I'm undiagnosed (who actually gets a diagnosis for this shit?), and I have problems beyond POIS... but this is my unique experience of what I believe to be a manifestation of the illness.

This song is rap/hip-hop styled. I encourage you to still give it a listen even if you don't like the genre, as I usually stray pretty far from the norm. Also, big shocker here, this song is of explicit nature. You weren't going to listen a song about POIS with your kids around were you?  ;)

I hope I'm not violating any rules by posting this... I think it's unique and just wanted to share it with people who may appreciate it. Hopefully some people here feel a connection with my expressions.

Nice song! I couldn’t imagine how difficult it was to compose the lyrics.

I’ll share this with the wife

Great creative work, divinedouggy !   Kudos :)

I am sure most members will relate to your song.  I do.

"Even if i'll never be recognized
For the sanity that I constantly sacrifice..."

Great rhyme, with great rhythm in it, my favorite.  It takes much sense in a long-term relationship, Our syndrome is so rare that it is very hard to understand and accept for someone else, even if this person is understanding to begin with.
