Cannabis
« on: January 31, 2016, 10:10:49 AM »
hi, long time pois lurker wanted to share this information,
I've personally found relief from pois with cannabis (i feel alot more relaxed the next day with less brain fog), but although some cannabis strains seems to help most makes it worse. A possible explanation for this inconsistency is that strains vary in cannabadiol levels (CBD), CBD is a highly medicinal cannabanoid and tends to reduce the psychoactive effects of thc, medicinal users take high cbd strains for many mental health issues associated with pois eg anxiety, emotional instability, so thought it may help others here (also medical users also tend to grow the plant for longer).
here's some links with more info about cbd

i live in the uk and cant grow myself but i know that some people on here live in the holland and the USA where its legal (at least in some us states),
if you do think about growing CBD crew are renowned for guaranteeing their cbd levels are above 4% (im not affiliated with them but i know that some high cbd strains won't have high cbd with every seed) but there are many other seed companies,
im certainly no expert but if you have any questions just shout

Cheers

ps I currently i use medipen to get cbd (its legal as has no thc but it quite expensive and doesn't seem to work as well as mj strains that have worked, but does seem to help a bit with my anxiety)

For those who see similarities between CFS and POIS, some food for thought: http://sensiseeds.com/en/blog/how-cannabis-can-treat-me-chronic-fatigue-syndrome/

I have a special bias: my POIS has been overwhelmingly fatigue-symptomatic.

1 guy in The Netherlands is cured by CBD oil. He is now 3 months without POIS.

POIS since 2000. Very bad since 2008. I knew that I have POIS since June 2010. Desensitization since March 2011. I stopped with desens in July 2016. I have 50% less POIS. And only 1 day of POIS. Purified CBD works for me, but I am allergic for CBD.

thats interesting demo, it says that ME may be caused by neural inflammation and as cannabis (CBD) is an antiinflammatory its a possible reason why it helps, for me the relief i get from high cbd cannabis lasts much longer than the high (1 to 2 days) so this seems to make sense. i don't understand why medical marijuana is illegal  :(, it does seem to be changing though..

I think only CBD. But will ask it about a few weeks when I am at the clinic.

I find that my medically prescribed cannabis (indica/THC) augments my TRT well. Cognitive side effects need management: it's been a lifelong learning process.

Cannabis is a double-edged sword! :)

I've used CBD and THC extensively in the past to mitigate my symptoms however it was far from a cure. Eventually I stopped using it simply because I can't walk around dazed all day, but it did help. I'd say it helped more than alcohol did.

I eat these industrial Cannabis seeds when I am in POIS, they are legal where I live and could be bought in stores.
I think they do have positive impact on me, but I feel like it is not strong enough treatment for any drastic change, except some minor motivation/energy/mood boost, brain fog, headache relief it has on me.
But in any case I am wondering if cannabis oil would be something worth of try and what does law here says about it.
no sugar diet helps me a tiny bit, also makes my mind much calmer in general. Sugar is definitely something my body does not handle well. Also I noticed that other inflammations like a hangover are better since I quit sugar. I avoid sweet fruits as well.
