It got so bad that I told both my parents. We're very open with each other, and I didn't ask to have this rare, debilitating condition so better do something than try and battle my way through life unnecessarily - Life doesn't have to be this difficult, but as I'm sure all you fellow POIS sufferers will understand, every day (during POIS periods), even the easiest tasks / social situations can be daunting.
RE the above question, my symptoms were:
Dopiness
Anxiety (from feeling dopey)
Dry / puffy eyes
Hysteria
Lack of energy
OCD symptoms
Brain fog
Severe depression
Gormlessness
My mum read into it, and being a qualified nurse and having specialised in anti-inflammatories in her studies, she said that until I get desensitization treatment, a short term fix would be to take 2 ibuprofen in the morning, 2 mid day and 2 in the evening, along with an antihistamine first thing in the morning.
Now my skin feels better, I can think more clearly and I feel 7/10 rather than 3/10.
I still suffer from chronic laziness, but am reasonably successful and proactive and battle through it.
I feel mentally sharper since being on ibuprofen, not tried stopping antihistamines yet but happy to be in a relatively normal state for once.
