Hi Labyrinth,

Have you ever tried lithium?  It's a mood stabilizer that's been used for many years, specifically for bipolar disorder. It's often successful.

It might be worthwhile to discuss this with your physician.

When we talked about minerals have you ever checked your copper status? I mean how much unbound copper is in your blood?

You need to test Ceruloplasmin, Copper and Zinc levels in your blood. And then calculate:

HOW TO CALCULATE YOUR COPPER AND ZINC RATIOS
(Edited w input from B_DAniel)

Take this example:
(Cp) Ceruloplasmin 26.1 mg/dL
(Cu) Copper, serum 118 ug/dL
(Zn) Zinc, plasma 94 ug/dL

Free Copper % = (sCu -3(Cp)) /  sCu

118 - (3(26.1)) = 118 - 78.3 = 39.7 this is an absolute measurement
Then divide it by the original total serum copper… in the example it was 118.
39.7 divided by 118 = 33.6%. This is the Free Copper % and is the number we need.

Free Copper % optimal range is 5-15%
(You have way too much "free" Copper...)

Zn/Cu Ratio = pZn/sCu = 94/118 = .796
Optimal Zn/Cu ratio should be 1.2 to 1 or 1.3 to 1
(You have way too little Zinc to support the level of Copper...)

Copper is an important factor in histamine metabolism. I am very sensitive and react with big histamine reactions: bites, injuries, excersise, ejaculation. You have two types of copper in your blood 1. Copper bound to cerulopasmin which is an antioxidant, the body can use it in enzymatic reactions or to deal with invaders. 2. Copper that is in free form, causes oxidative damage and exciotoxic on nervous system. I am extremly low in both forms but i cant take copper suplements because my mind starts racing, so i am focusing now only on raising Cp and eating copper ritch foods.

Most people do not need to supplement copper. In fact. Most people have high levels of copper because of copper plumbing seeping into drinking water..unless your house doesn't have copper plumbing or if you drink a lot of spring water. Then u might b low..
My POIS Symptoms:  Brain Fog, frustration, stuffed nose, anger, anxiety, intense hunger, low self esteem, swollen face, and feel zoned out.
