If you live near Paris, you might want to get in touch with Francois Giuliano, Professor of Therapeutics at the Faculty of Medicine Paris Ouest and Urologist at the hospital in Garches Pointcaré Raymond.

I'll do some more googling and see if I can find out about Juza Chen and Emmanuele Jannini - I dug out some info about Nicolae Calomfirescu already on another thread, I guess it wouldn't hurt to have them all in the database!

Just a note for now, when entering data in the database, try not to use accents, they seem to block the entry. I'm working on correcting this.

Did anybody give a trial for some others male contraceptive?

Demo, when they alanized your sperm sample... did they check if there was some infections in it? (bacterias, virus, etc...) if not, it would be great someone do it !

I have met Prof Guiliano this morning at his hospital... and it was sooooo disappointing    :(  He doesn't believe in Prof Waldinger's theroy, said there was "NO scientific proves, and that he couldn't do anything for me, except advising to see a psy...:/"
Again a "professor" who give me up in the path...

I'm tempted to create a database of ignorant pigheaded medical professionals, so the whole world can know who NOT to go and see if they really want moderately conscious humans treating them.

Sorry to hear that, Habibou - the road to a POIS cure seems to be long and hard  :(

Advising you to see a psychiatrist is particularly insulting - he should feel ashamed for giving you such useless advice. Unfortunately senior professionals in any field don't like "not understanding" things - they would prefer to pretend that they didn't exist to protect their own egos. Pathetic.

Sorry for wasting your time Habibou - I hope you have better luck with your new doctor. I wonder if the eminent Professor Guiliano will offer you his apologies when he is eventually proven completely wrong - ha, not a chance  :)

The researchers that study the birth control pill for men, are from New York. They tested it on mice and are now ready for trials on humans? Any volunteers?

Link to the original articles:
http://www.bitsofscience.org/birth-control-pill-men-1571/#more-1571
http://endo.endojournals.org/content/152/6/2492

Address all correspondence and requests for reprints to (she is also a co-author of the article): Debra J. Wolgemuth, Columbia University Medical Center, Russ Berrie Pavilion, Room 608, 1150 Saint Nicholas Avenue, New York, New York 10032. E-mail: djw3@columbia.edu.

They have only done short term tests on mice. I think first they will perform long term tests on mice before humans. But when you're interested and live close just give a call :)

Anyway it is encouraging, that this is being developed. If boosting testosterone or desensitization is not curing you (enough), in the future this pill will be available.

What about these male contraceptives:
http://malecontraceptives.org/methods/others.php

Quote from above site:
Oleanolic Acid
This plant compound is extracted from the flowers of a myrtle family tree native to southern Asia, Eugenia jambolana. The tree has been naturalized in Hawaii, southern Florida, Australia, the Philippines, Zanzibar and Kenya. Studies of oleanolic acid in rats show that low, sustained doses result in reversible infertility (Rajasekaran, 1988). The studies reported no changes in body weight or libido. The compound alters the way sperm pass through the epididymis. Normally, immature spermatids are converted in the epididymis to fully functioning, motile sperm. The sperm of rats treated with oleanolic acid emerged from the epididymis with decreased forward motility. Rats treated for 30 days became infertile; the contraceptive effect was reversed 14 days after ending treatment (Mdhluli 2002). Doses within an order of magnitude of the therapeutic contraceptive dose showed immunosuppressive side effects in mice (Dai 1989). A group of researchers in South Africa are working towards studies of oleanolic acid in male monkeys.

Hi,

I learned about pois last year and about this forum this year. Pois explains all the symptoms I have been feeling for about ten years now. I use niacin (with flush) and it helps alot but doesn't alleviate all my symptoms. Three weeks ago I tried one of the natural contraceptives figuring on this link, papaya seeds. It says that it takes about 3 months to really take effect but already I find that my symptoms are much lighter. It looks rather promising. I'm eager to see how I'll be feeling in a couple of months. I was wondering if anyone else has tried papaya seeds or papaya extract.
Symptoms since I'm 15 y o, hair loss, muscle twitches, brain fog, anxiety, low confidence, stuffy nose, itchy eyes and skin, sensitive to temperature change, loud heartbeat. I currently use 5-htp and SAM-e.

Hi and welcome !
How does it work ?  Do you see a difference on sperm volume ?

Which is strange for me is you have improvements with niacin.
Each time we try to regroup symptoms (sperm production/hormones, immunoloy/inflammation).
