I finally have a girlfriend but is this normal?
« on: November 22, 2014, 11:53:21 AM »
She's my best friend and I've known her for a long time. I love her A LOT, more than she even knows. And she is VERY understanding when it comes to sex... I have not came yet, nor have we had sex. We however do a lot of heavy touching to get eachother off. After though, even though I haven't came, I get really intense brain fog and anxiety -- and I get insecure about her and me. I feel like I'm going to lose her almost, but for no reason whatsoever. I think we are very stable outside of this.

Is this normal to suddenly have anxieties over nothing? Especially after POIS (before I even cum). This is very strange...

Hi Suppertime,

I personally don't POIS unless I blow my load. I guess your situation is very sensitive as any loving activity could cause some POIS. Are you sure it is POIS from pre shooting or perhaps it could be the hangover of a previous POIS cycles. My POIS cycles last 7 days but head sometimes doesn't feel fully back to normal until day 10 I would say. So my point is even within this time POIS is affecting me and something creating anxieties. They can be quite difficult to detect though.

I'm not saying you don't get POIS from pre-ejaculation activity but maybe there are additional factors.

Any kind of sexual activity (including looking at hot women) causes me brain fog and Anxiety. usually, without  ejaculation, They don't last for long(sometimes seconds, sometimes for hours), it depends. With ejaculation, they ALWAYS last for days.
You are not alone in the boat bro! :)

On a side note: I noticed that Anti-histamines, Pure Olive oil helps a lot with the Anxiety and the insecurity problems of POIS. B-Blockers helps too but they make me tired and also they cause impotence on the long run.
I wish you the best with your relationship.
POIS is my worst enemy

So far so good. I have not ejaculated for the past 4 months, and I have been of sound-mind (relatively) so far. We do have fun and foreplay a lot -- we have not had intercourse yet. Maybe in the future, but so far, this is good. We are in a good place, we communicate a lot and make sure we know what eachother are feeling. Of course, it's not completely perfect -- there are moments when we upset eachother for personal reasons.

But overall, I am not letting POIS take over my life.

PS. I almost ejaculated last week, some semen came out but I stopped it in its tracks. My GF was extremely astonished and surprised anyone could do that. Thanks Kegel.

Four months!?! NICE! My body won't go more than a couple weeks before a NE.
Symptoms last 6-7 days. Onset of muscle weakness after 30 seconds. Symptoms include: brain fog, fatigue, depression, pale skin/dark circles under eyes,  digestive problems, difficulty taking a full breath, irritability. NONE of these are present out of POIS.

That's very good Suppertime! I'm very happy for you. Definitely, don't let POIS take over your life, especially your intimate/fun life in that way. Sex is good. Sex is fun. And it's healthy! It's sad we get symptoms from an orgasm, but that should never prevent POISers from getting some. Until a cure is found, we can all still enjoy being intimate in our personal relationships, enjoying the fun, bonding & the communication (like you mentioned, and YOLO right?). Sex without the finale (orgasm) can be difficult, but in my opinion sex with no orgasm is way better than no sex at all.

I wish you good luck Suppertime, and hope no one ever lets POIS take over their pleasure and relationships.

Thank you for the support everyone!

After an amazing weekend with my girlfriend, and her telling me how happy I make her. I am crashing. I think I ejaculated 3 times (without orgasm) which is causing me to become very very dull. Whenever we converse, I can only saw one word answers. I will need to get through this...

She is coming over today so hopefully our physical attraction can boost things a little.

Ahhh!

Congratulations, Suppertime!  I wish you a happy life with her!

You are another proof that it is possible to marry even when you have POIS  ( I have been married for over 25 years now, and already had POIS long before that)

Is it still ibuprofen right after O that helps you manage your POIS symptoms?

10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

40+ years of severe 4-days-POIS, married, raised a family, started/ran a business

Thanks all! We're married and happy. We have a healthy sex life, but she makes she I don't ejaculate. Sometimes, I would say, I'm coming, and she stops! Sneaky girl lol

So far, I have not found a good cure or method other than advil. But I think it's partly placebo effect.
