Hyperparathyroidism
« on: February 05, 2014, 10:57:37 PM »
My doctor told me yesterday that my blood test came back with a slightly higher than normal calcium level, indicative of a hyperparathyroid problem.  It is different from the thyroid.  Apparently it may be the case that my parathyroid gland, which regulates hormonal activity and calcium in the body and blood and bones, may have at some point grown a non cancerous tumor or growth and gone haywire, taking calcium out of my bones and dumping it into my blood.  According to online info on parathyroidism, this can cause many symptoms similar to what I and a lot of people here have experienced, like fatigue, brain fog, poor sleep, anxiety, depression, acid reflux, a general feeling of unwellness, bone pain, nausea, heart issues, etc.  sometimes it's necessary to surgically remove the parathyroid gland which is an easy procedure and COMPLETELY CURES PEOPLE.  They say online that it dramatically improves the quality of people's lives almost overnight !!

I highly recommend everyone to ask their doctors to look closely at blood calcium levels or get checked for this hyperparathyroid gland issue.
