Not to be a downer, but you must realize that there's no guarantee that this study will find anything conclusive, and definitely no guarantee it will find a cure. Sometimes many studies are needed before real conclusions can be drawn about a disease.
Yes, it's important that we know that this study may not mean an immediate "cure".
But what is so important about this research is that it will open the door to the medical community. Up until now, there is still no credible direction, nothing conclusive.
