Going to start taking medication for migraine headaches.
« on: November 19, 2013, 02:33:12 AM »
I was prescribed Migranal, more like a trial (1 time use) in the past.  I used it at a time where I wasn't in too much of a POIS episode, but when I took it, the "POIS" subsided.  I didn't get more because I didn't buy into the whole "migraine" idea, since I don't experience much pain, more like a deep irritability/agitation and craving for relief.  But sooner or later I will be asking my neurologist for a prescription for migranal, and use it when I am in full POIS... I am doing this because I have been in a terrible POIS for the past 4 days, feels like the same part of my brain has been inflammed and hasn't gotten better.  My usual olive leaf extract remedy didn't work this time, partially because I "O'd" when I didn't feel the olive leaf was in my system, and because I O'd 3 or 4 times.  Usually right now I can only "O" once or twice when taking olive leaf for me not to have POIS...

But anyways I will update in the future.  I am optimistic because my POIS is 100% to do with an inflammation reaction in my brain, right where I feel the orgasm.  Hopefully this medication will relieve all of it.

By the way has anybody else been put on medication or migraine?

I feel bad you have no response yet, so here is one. Even though I haven't been put on any migraine meds in the past, I sometimes get a really bad migraine, which goes along with a lot of cognitive problems. For this I usually just take some acetaminophen and it usually helps. I think I remember someone a while back saying that he tried something like you just mentioned and it helped him. I can't remember who it was, and I think it was on the other forum. Keep us updated on if it helps you. Thanks!!

Welp, so far I have O'd once.  Tried migranal on the 2nd day and no improvement.  I really don't think migraines are involved in POIS.  I will try it again on day 0, right after "O".

This condition has got to be chronic.  I haven't "O'd" in a month and still feel pretty bad, especially today, but prob because I'm having stress from final exams.  I mean, "O" is the worst thing I can do.  I really wonder why that really messes me up.  I mean I have good days and bad days but why all of a sudden today I feel bad?  I actually slept well last night too.  I really feel like something external is involved in this POIS problem.. But I've been tested for different things like lyme disease, but I have no idea.  Is that one person still cured from POIS by taking antibiotics?  Thanks for the response.

Hang in there. News of the research is just around the corner. Soon we should know more!
WITHOUT RESEARCH THERE WILL BE NO CURE!
Sessions 5 to 9 days, mostly Flu-like, joints, digestion problems, light cognitive.
Niacin has changed my lif though, now 1 day MAX.
Somewhere in this interaction with Niacin is the answer!
