How long does Niacin last for you?
« on: July 24, 2013, 08:49:22 PM »
How long can you wait after the flush and Niacin still works? Like if you take it in the morning can you have an orgasm at night and it still protects you? I'm gonna check how long it lasts for me but it would be interesting to hear from you about this.

According to testers, 1h30 to 2 hours before orgasm seems to give the best improvements.
But the flush must come before, 15-30 min after taking niacine.

Right  thanks B_Jim, niacin is out of your system in 6 hours, but any more than about three hours, the protection would be minimal.
WITHOUT RESEARCH THERE WILL BE NO CURE!
Sessions 5 to 9 days, mostly Flu-like, joints, digestion problems, light cognitive.
Niacin has changed my lif though, now 1 day MAX.
Somewhere in this interaction with Niacin is the answer!

So if I take niacin before going to bed at 1 am & wake up at 5 am, will it protect me from symptoms caused by NE (In my case, NE's generally occur 2-3 hours after falling asleep)?

Hi Raj
Niacin has been discussed quite a bit in the past. It's easy to search old posts
It's quiet handy to use this trick for searching via NSF (Naked Science Forum) as example:

paste the following line in google:
niacin pois site:http://thenakedscientists.com

for searching in poiscenter there is a search option

also have a look at one of my old posts in NSF somewhere along this page for some tips about niacin
http://www.thenakedscientists.com/forum/index.php?topic=6576.msg460515#msg460515

I personally have never tried using it to try combat NE's though

Remember to rather not overuse niacin as I think your body eventually gets so used to it that you suddenly no longer get the flash making it less effective

Note: Some believe overusing niacin could also be harmful
Also let your doctor know that you want to experiment using niacin,
altough I think niacin is fairly safe
