Tell us about how you feel after orgasm.  That's usually how we know if you have POIS or not.  Hard to say if you have it from looking at this picture, we are not physicians
Turmeric and Rosemary 30-45 minutes before orgasm for anti-inflammatory and immune support has helped me a lot. Faster and easier than niacin approach.

Are you dizzy? Do you feel nauseous? (like you want to get sick). Do you frequently feel itchy?
Does your nose run or become blocked following an O?
Do you feel more anxious after an O?

It sounds like you have POIS but it would be great if you could describe all your symptoms in as much detail as possible.

I feel after an orgasm
I do not feel dizzy, I feel confused, my head is very weak and unstable and heavy. I can not understand things.
I do not feel sick, but my body is very weak, hard to stand up. My muscles ache, I feel more pain in the legs, hard to talk, hard mental weakness, my depression got worse after orgasm, I do not feel itchy body or even blocked, only dry inside. I always feel tired. I want to sleep for many hours
After about two weeks I was without orgasm, the symptoms a bit weaker and I feel a little better.

Yes it's definitly looks like POIS symtoms ;

the "cognitive" we all talk about seems pretty specific ; hard to think clearly, hard to talk, feeling not a ease in social situation ; it's like the transmission of informations in the brain are slowed down(neurotramitors ?) ....the most frustating is you are clearly conscious you are not really yourself and you know how much better you could be ;  I spend a lot energy trying to act normally wich make me more tired and depressed.

I can't find any other condition wich share that kind of symtoms ; most of what we call cognitive symtoms are "loss of memory" like alzheimer or other disease usualy concerning old people....Can't find a conditon with temporary decline of mental abilities...

Yeah. You definitely have POIS. Even just considering that you feel physically weak after an orgasm. I have similar symptoms to you seeing as you feel both physically and cognitively weak after an orgasm. I also get some other symptoms like joint pain and eye burning. Niacin has been a fairly popular treatment here, but you have to be careful with your dosage and make sure you follow the procedure exactly correctly. Fenugreek + tea/garlic has been a reliable treatment for me that improves all of my POIS symptoms, which I've been taking for more than a year. The link to my treatment summary is below this post if you want to see the treatments I've used in detail.
Taking ginger tea, no wheat, fenugreek+green tea/garlic, saw palmetto, niacin, boswellia, huperzine, B complex and nutmeg. See my treatment summary post for more info: http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=81.msg3513#msg3513

Your test looks positive. So, as you already know, you have POIS.
POIS since I was about 15. 1.75 years of desens and I'm now about 80% POIS free. Still working through best practices for maintaining my immunity and administering my injections with my doctor. Email me if you have tips or questions!

I have low Testosterone and POIS
« Reply #9 on: November 15, 2012, 11:26:53 AM »

I am 55 years old and started with all the pois sintoms (5) years ago, I was diagnosed with low T and I am under testosterone replacement, I am using Androgel 1.62% everyday but this isn't helping, it looks like it is worst becasue during sleep I have noctural emissions every night and the next day I feel all the POIS sintoms, extremely fatigue, sinus, itchy body, irritated eyes, sleeppy all the time, dificult to concentrate, muscles ache, eye burning, dificult to talk, etc, etc,.. my T levels are ok now and I tought that this was going to be the solution to the pois sintoms becasue is something I didn't have it in the past, few days ago I had an orgasm without eyaculation by using the Tantric thecniques but pois was even 2 or 3 times worst, I read that it is possible to have an orgasm without eyaculation at all, not even retrograde eyaculation does anybody knows if this is possible? I am trying whatever I read or learn to solve the problem but so far no solution, for now I am using the testosterone evryother day to reduce the nocturnal emmisions.  Thanks, Mario

My endocrinologist said my early testosterone  failure was due to injectables, because they  "spike" in and out of the system.

My TRT is daily, (365x a year), -- 2 Androderm patches, 4mg each -- testosterone patches applied to the skin -- this creates a more natural, round-the-clock infusion of testestorene, mimicking the way the body naturally distributes testosterone evenly/steadily throughout the body.

Androderm vs Androgel 1.62%:

10 years of significant POIS-reduction, treatment consisting of daily (365 days/year) testosterone patches.

TRT must be checked out carefully with your doctor due to fertility, cardiac and other risks.

Sex and Depression: In the Brain, if Not the Mind

In addition to serving our own informational interests, the resources listed above can be useful for you to show our credibility to the medical world - which often shows little understanding and is sometimes skeptical of our condition: POIS has scientific underpinnings and POIS is not "just another psychological problem" related to sex - to be treated by the psychiatric/psychotherapeutic community. All of this information can greatly help you to fight the immediate reaction of some doctors: so just tell them, "IT'S NOT 'ALL IN YOUR HEAD'! "

It can be very  helpful to you when dealing with medical professionals to point this out. Click to see

POIS' official listing, as recognized by the
National Institutes for Health (NIH), Office of Rare Diseases Research
:

And in Europe: Orphanet now lists POIS on their website. - Click here.

The Post Orgasmic Illness Syndrome (P.O.I.S.) Forum is listed in the organization database of the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) -- http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php.  The link for this, through their home page, is --
http://rarediseases.org/rare-disease-information/organizations/byID/3136/viewDetail.

POIS also appears in credible medical sources such as the Journal of Sexual Medicine (Dr. Waldinger's study), British Medical Journal (Dr. Selwyn Dexter's study), and wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Postorgasmic_illness_syndrome

For over 5 years, our POIS forum has attracted over 200 POIS sufferers worldwide who have posted here, research on an additional 200 sufferers elsewhere on the internet, plus our pages have been read nearly 2,000,000 times. Not bad for a rare malady.

Show some of this to your doctor - with pride. Chances are, you know far more about POIS than s/he does. Don't be intimidated by fancy diplomas. It's almost impossible for any one doctor to know much about POIS before you walk into his/her office. Unfortunately, it's up to you to educate them. And if you happen to find yourself with a disagreeable "student"-doctor (you're the teacher), find another doctor. Quickly!

SEARCH THE FORUM WITH GOOGLE

We have an overwhelming amount of data: more than 5 years' worth of posts (over  10,000 posts!) from 200+ Forum members, and an additional 200 POIS sufferers found elsewhere on the Internet by Member B_Jim.

In the Google search box, type
whatever-it-is-you're-interested-in-finding-out[space]POIS[space]site:http://thenakedscientists.com/

for example, I tried
nocturnal emission POIS site:http://thenakedscientists.com/

and 740 results came up for "nocturnal emission" within the Forum.

be careful with spaces (you can use them before the word "site") and no-spaces (everything after the word "site")

Google even provides you results with the Message# for each result. But Message #'s do change, so be patient and look for the approximate Message#.
