retrograde ejac
« on: November 27, 2013, 09:37:35 AM »
So is POIS an allergy to the components in one's sperm/semen? My question comes after reading something about the blood-testes barrier. People who support the allergy hypothesis believe that when the sperm crosses the barrier and enters the vas deferens, the immune system counter attacks. When I have had retrograde ejaculation, which I have, I feel no POIS symptoms. I have an orgasm, though weaker than usual, but no very little to no ejaculate and I feel fine. I am pretty sure the semen crosses the barrier if it reaches the bladder, where one later pees the dead semen out. What is going on here?

Interesting. One of the immunological theories is it is the sperm coming into contact urethra. Retograde ejaculation would mean most of the sperm does not go through the urethra.

Can you do a normal ejaculation as well? I heard some people learn how to do retrograde ejaculations.

To test this theroy I don't see why a well trained doctor couldnt't place a tube in the urethra so sperm does not touch the urethra when it comes out. I will leave it to the professionals though.

1) Your own immune system attacking your own cells is an auto-immune problem, and not allergy. Allergy is to external agents.

There is a big difference, particularly in how it should be treated.

2) From my understanding, retro-ejaculation sends the sperm to the bladder. If I achieve retro-ejaculation, my POIS is much worse. Others the reverse.

So it depends for each person where the sperm might be "crossing the barrier". For me any blockage or back-up causes more POIS. I "assume" that the additional pressure
(in my case) contributes to it crossing the barrier.

Niacin has changed my lif though, now 1 day MAX.
Somewhere in this interaction with Niacin is the answer!

I just don't understand. So the auto-immune reaction begins when the semen comes into contact with the urethra? Let me ask people, aside from everyone's half-baked cures, e.g. niacin, Claritin, Fenugreek, etc... does anyone have something solid. In addition, most of my POIS pain was located in the urethra. I discovered non-related POIS forums where men complained of having a shrunken and tightened penis, with testicular pain that lasted for hours if not a whole day after ejaculating. Some of these same ones have said that the urethral pain and tightness have stopped when the made sure that all of the semen had evacuated their urethra. They did this by squeezing after ejaculating. has anyone else had this experience?

We are starting a professional research program through NORD (National Organization for Rare Disorders). Other than that there are NO solid remedies.

It is difficult to call some of the solutions we have "half baked" though! Niacin for me has been a "God send". I am all but POIS free because of it. "Half Baked", yes, becasue there hasn't been a real analysis to say why it works, but "half baked" NO because for many of us it works very well.

Viagra, for me works even better. I have forgotten that I have POIS practically. So for me, not at all half baked. The other things, work as well in varying degrees for some. Noe are cures, most are symptom relieve, with reasonable reason to work.... anti-imflamatory or anti-histaminic.

There are many possibilities for why niacin and viagra work, but nothing proven.

Nothing proven anywhere. That's why we've started the REAL research program.

Enough home remedies, enough conjecture and supposition, and enough going around in circles.

I haven't tried Viagra. My therapist actually mentioned this when we discussed the situation. I assume you take it before sex.

Yep, just like you normally would. One hour before.

For me it works VERY WELL! I've found that if you feel the typical flush that comes with viagra, it's more guarranteed to work (for POIS prevention)

I think that regular users of viagra may not get the flush at usual doses. I started at 25 mg (half a pill) and now it has stabilized at about 50 mg.
I may have to up that  another 25 to be on the safe side.

Another guage for me is the erection, but I'm older so I need a bit of "help". As such, I notice when it's working well. Younger people already
get good erections, so this may not be as much of a guide.

I would say, try to find a minimum dosage that works consistently, because I don't know, perhaps taking more may desensitize you more quickly.

BTW, follow all of the regular viagra precautions.

So, how it is posible that with retrograde ejaculation
no pois???
With RE semen-sperm not go "trought prostate" and
uretra but all go in balder.

So, it is posible that in RE semen go in acidic
environmnet and there bin "disolved" changed,
alergen, antibodies or patogen in semen then
cant couse pois rection
like it does with
normal ejaculation trought urethra???

So , its seams that no pois from sildosin isnt
from alpha receptors blocking but from
retrograde ejac.. from it.

I think that this will be intresting to investigate
and resarch.
