Do you have symptoms of pancreatic insufficiency (EPI)?
« on: January 14, 2022, 07:44:28 AM »
1. = Primary symptoms
2. = Secondary symptoms
(Matching vitamin deficiency in parentheses)

According to the result of a CT-scan I got a smaller pancreas that I should and has now got a pancreatic enzyme (Creon) prescription ("Creon" is just a simple mix of the three enzymes Proteas, Lipas, Amylas. My natural eznyme supplement has them too and so many other enzymes). I just realized that I share 6 of the 7 symptoms of pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) on this page. That page stated that EPI could be caused by for example celiac disease, Crohn?s disease and autoimmune pancreatitis wich symptoms coincides with mine.

In EPI your digestive system is expelling much of the fat/proteins/carbohydratesyou eat instead of absorbing it (which makes you loose weight). Therefore you will have a deficiency of fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K (And some B-vitamins), which are advised as supplements, if you have this condition. There are of cource many more symptoms of deficiencies of the vitamins mentioned in the poll, but I've tryed to find the most mentioned in the context of EPI.
