I'm the only POIS patient I know who has been cured 100% and that's since last February of this year.  Took Benadryl immediately following at least a thousand Os along with Zyrtec every day.  After 5 years of that treatment my system had hypo desensitized itself to the POIS reaction.  My doctor said it was an allergy or the antihistamines wouldn't have worked.
Zyrtec is one of the antihistamines. In The Netherlands you can buy in without a doctor’s prescription. Since 15 years I have been taken daily Xyzal (for 8 years) and Fexofenadin. That’s for other allergies, like dust and pollen. I tried to take Xyzal and later Fexo before sexual activity. And later after. But it didn’t work for me. It even made the symptoms worse because it causes a dry mouth. POIS does that too. But I am happy for you that Zyrtec works for you.
POIS since 2000. Very bad since 2008. I knew that I have POIS since June 2010. Desensitization since March 2011. I stopped with desens in July 2016. I have 50% less POIS. And only 1 day of POIS. Purified CBD works for me, but I am allergic for CBD.

Hmmmm, I have urethral inflammation like 24/7 and I always connected it to POIS, but what if it wasn't; what if it was the opposite?

@Nas Perhaps it's an idea to try to suppress the inflammation with drugs, and see if it helps POIS? I'm thinking stronger drugs like antibiotics or corticosteroids, of course to be discussed with a doctor.

Corticosteroids were a sucess POIS wise for me, but they never seemed to stop POIS, they just speed up the recovery. Maybe it has something to with it. I gotta investigate, but I need time first, I'm kinds busy with alotnof stuff but hopefully I can see if I can solve my inflammation problem and see where that lead on POIS.

I orgasmed twice today and took after ending 50 mg of diphenydramine. I feel right now sleepy and tired as fuck, I'm going to sleep in about 30 min, tomorrow I'll tell you if it worked or not.

It's the first time in my entire life I'm taking diphenydramine, dunno, I feel like crap right now.  :'(

Update: Diphenydramine didn't worked for me. Antihistamines seems to be useless for my POIS, I tried loratadine once and also didn't do anything to relief symptoms.

I've tried many other treatments for POIS (Zinc, Niacin, diet, etc) and Benadryl is the only thing that I've found that helps my symptoms.

I prefer hydroxyzine to benadryl.  I think both are more effective than allegra zyrtec etc, because the former (but not the latter) cross the blood brain barrier and seem to relieve cognitive symptoms as well as body symptoms.

For all the Benadryl - and other anticholinergic drug - users here (I’m one of them - a heavy user at that :) ), please look at this Harvard Health article. It has had me concerned, especially since I’m at retirement age, that there might be a link between Benadryl use and dementia  :(
