Hi, I'm new here. I don't have dysphagia, but perhaps I have something related.

My eustachian tubes open after O (patulous eustachian tube), which is a nasty condition because it makes it almost impossible to talk as speech is amplified through the tubes. Problems then stay for weeks to months, but they disappear gradually when I don't think about sex (it took me a long time to figure this out).

I think it is related to swallowing/dysphagia, because when a person swallows, their eustachian tubes are supposed to open. So my guess would be that this case of dysphagia causes the same muscles to be in a contracted state.

I have found that taking a lot of thiamine (vitamin B1) stops my ET problems to a great extent. But I have to take like 100mg, several times a day. I'm thinking I have a thiamine deficiency. Manganese also helps me.

By the way, one suggestion I can make is to try yawning: this will release the muscles used for swallowing. Then, when the muscles are released, try swallowing again. I'd be interested to hear if this helps.

@ThisType Not sure about choline. I'd say that generally choline gives me overall a mildly positive effect, but it doesn't last very long.

Perhaps it should be combined with other supplements, like inositol or perhaps with supplements for methylation support (?)
