My attempts to cure POIS with different medications
« on: November 29, 2021, 11:04:58 AM »
Main pois symptoms are:anxiety, intrusive disturbing thoughts, headaches, fatigue

1.Xanax,lorazepam:1-2mg-alleviated my symptoms by 80%:lower anxiety, lower intrusive thoughts and no headaches but if I smoked a cigarette or drink coffee the effects wore down
2.Olanzapine(antipsychotic):5mg-lowered intrusive thoughts but increased anxiety and fatigue
3.Effexor(SNRI)-150mg for a month seemed to slow down the intrusive thoughts and cured premature ejaculation
4.Wellbutrin(NDRI)-150mg:Mostly I took it to stop smoking and I am only one week into it so maybe in a month it will show some effects in regards to lowering pois symptoms
5.Clonidine(anti-hypertensive):0,15 mg:lowers anxiety and intrusive thoughts and no headaches as well and I can still drink coffee without getting anxious. The downside is the fatigue. The effects are accomplished by preventing the secretion of the neurotransmitter norepinephrine.

Your quite motivated to alleviate the side effects and understandably so.  Good luck in your journey, and be careful with the pharmaceuticals and associated side effects. If you run out of ideas try working on root causes.

Good luck with your attempts Luca  :)

I tried many, many different vitamins, supplements and pharmaceuticals before finding a solution that worked for me several years later.
