One forum member, Animus, I believe, actually had his testicles removed, his seminal vesicles cauterized, and his prostate surgically reduced in size. His symptoms disappeared completely afterwards, so long as he adhered to his meds.

I personally wouldn't mind, though I'd imagine most POISers would find this option somewhat undesirable. :P

Hi Bombardier, and everyone,

About Animus, since he has not posted on the forum for about 6 years now, it is hard to say anything about long term efficiency of the radical choice he made.  We do not know if he is still 100% cleared of POIS.  I never had the chance to be in contact with him, since I have found this forum 4 years ago.

It seems, however, that having his testicles removed was linked to a personal condition - I think he had a painful lump or something similar, and the orchidectomy did not contribute significantly to his POIS relief.  This concurs with the reports from members who went through vasectomy, saying that it didn't bring any relief for their POIS.

You are 100% responsible for what you do with anything I post on this forum and of any consequence it could have for you.  Forum rule: ""Do not use POISCenter as a substitute for, or to give, medical advice" Read the remaining part at http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=1.msg10259#msg10259

As Quantum said, I would advise against this solution. It is a risky procedure that in the end could not solve anything.

I would personally love to hear back from Animus, but at this moment we can not be sure that he is not suffering from POIS symptoms. Personally, I wouldn't take his silence for a "yes, it worked".

Aye, wise words from both of you. I'll admit I might've considered it, if only 'cause I'd do anything to get rid of this condition we all share, though hopefully I'll find success with Niacin or one of Nanna's stacks in the future.
