Toxic metabolites in blod prostatitis connection with pois.
« on: September 27, 2020, 12:11:07 PM »
Read caryfully this blog and studies wich are in it.
I think that one side of poisers
could hawe benefit from this.

Again , this fit in my "toxicity theory"

A non bacterial prostatitis and yeast infection in young man.
A yeast-vaginalis bacteria combination in prostate
inflamation in young man.

I thought of possible link between some pathogen and POIS, some got prostatitis sign, had symptom change by prostate milking or other signs that can be some pathogen relation to POIS.

Well, well, well...who do we have here, if it isn't Dr. Pois himself.

Dear Dr. Pois,

Nothing will be measured aside from the very basic stuff.

Yours sincerely,
Muon

No outside of that I meant. The POIScenter funded study will measure stuff that hasn't been measured before in previous studies, don't worry about that.

Berberine sounds interesting. Going to give it a try. I get a lot of gut symptoms after orgasm, or if I stray from my carefully tuned diet. I also have prostate symptoms that correlate with my other symptoms.

The most interesting thing in that blog for me is the idea that "low-grade infection of the prostate can come from places you may not expect, including the gut". Perhaps my new gluten free diet that has greatly improved my IBS symptoms will help stop this intestinal permeability and thus the prostatitis. Though I'm a bit pessimistic it could be that simple.

I tried Berberine supplements . They are helpless for POIS . It may be good for other disease though like diabetes

I've been taking 800 mg Berberine daily now for about two weeks. For many years I have had pretty bad gastrointestinal problems as part of my POIS symptom set. Those symptoms were reduced a lot a few months back when I started eating an MCAS-friendly diet. But there was still often mucus in my stool. After I started taking Berberine on top of my diet, I noticed changes pretty much immediately. The same day, IIRC. My stool had virtually no mucus in it. It was solid yet not hard or hard to pass. In other words, seemed healthy. Also, my gut generally seems calmer. Less noises and discomfort.

I think it's also helping my prostate a bit. But I'm less certain of that. I've also had a lot of prostate problems as part of my symptom set, most notably trouble peeing, where you feel like you have to go but nothing comes. That seems to have been less pronounced also, after I started with Berberine, but it's too early to be sure of the connection.

I'm definitely gonna keep taking it as I've long suspected my POIS case is deeply linked to my gut, and so far Berberine seems great for my gut.

Thanks Clues. Have you ever tried a gluten free diet? It had great results in me for easing my IBS-D. Many people claim gluten to be a root cause of their prostatitis.

Dropping gluten was the first-ever truly effective change I made to address my myriad health problems, 10 years ago before I even knew I had POIS. :) It made a huge difference for me, but never "fixed" my gut.

Most of my gut symptoms such as bloating, constipation and gas were significantly reduced by dropping gluten. Non-orgasm-related brain fog was also reduced.

I've tried dropping it fully for some weeks but here and there food that's tasty and available has it and I eat-I'm high metabolism type so I eat what I can/want as more restrictions would lower calories further.

I have a high metabolism as well and I eat quite a lot. I'm 187 cm and weigh 70 kg, even though I eat three solid meals per day.

If you want to drop gluten, please be careful not to replace it with highly processed gluten-free alternatives with little nutritional value. IMO your best bet is natural fresh ingredients and cooking/baking from scratch at home. Home-made oat rolls are my go-to for breakfast and lunch.

Don't mean to preach, just wanted to offer some tips in case you're still in the process of cutting down on gluten. :)

I have dropped grain entirely. Ate gluten-free grain for a few years but still loose stools and decided to scrap grain entirely. Not sure if it's gluten related or that it has to do with any other molecule associated with grain.

Did it or other diets change POIS?

Uh oh, just saw that the one shop that sold Berberine in Norway no longer carries it. :( May need to order the next bottle from abroad and pay our ridiculous import fees.
