Seemingly unrelated symptoms
« on: March 22, 2018, 07:52:59 PM »
I have so many things going on with me, I know for sure that orgasm makes me feel worse almost 100% of the time. since 2009 i have been having a lot of terrible symptoms after getting out the Army such as insomnia, poor digestion, very elevated nervous system, depression, muscle tremors, palpitations and much more. I thought I had caught some bug, but several docs said I was having anxiety, like wtf. My story could be super long but I am making this short. The past few years I have gotten better only through diet and supplements and lifestyle changes. But I still have problems. I discovered nofap about 3-4 years ago and began practicing abstinence to find that it works  quite well to lessen symptoms. Then at some point I diagnosed myself with POIS because I remember having depression since age 15 after orgasm so it just makes sense.

Currently I am trying to find out if I have some disease unrelated to POIS, my current symptoms are , insomnia, dry mouth with plaque every morning, my kidneys feel weak after orgasm if I do it more than about once a week. Severe adhd symptoms, memory is bad, slow thinking, anxiety , numbness/depression,fatigue(mental and physical) intolerant of seemingly every food I only eat cooked vegetables and meat., frequent urination(sometimes 30+ times a day).

Does anyone have a slew of symptoms that seem unrelated? I feel like its heavily kidney related, however blood test always come back normal

Hi gatorkea,

Thanks for sharing about your POIS and other problems.

It is really common for POIS sufferers to have other symptoms that seems unrelated, and other weird manifestations as well,   They may all come from common sources, but only seems unrelated because we do not know yet the internal mechanism leading to them.

For example, many POIS sufferers have food intolerance, of allergies, or psychological problems like anxiety or else.  Some have auto-immune diseases, and they often have started at the same time POIS did.

So, yes, many on this forum have all kinds of seemingly unrelated symptoms.
You are 100% responsible for what you do with anything I post on this forum and of any consequence it could have for you.  Forum rule: ""Do not use POISCenter as a substitute for, or to give, medical advice" Read the remaining part at http://poiscenter.com/forums/index.php?topic=1.msg10259#msg10259

Hi gatorkea,

Reading your story remembers me a lot, the same situaciĆ³n I suffered during around 4 years. I also felt many seemingly unrelated symtoms. Exactlly like you, palpitations, insomnia, poor digestions. Even having ocasional diarrheas.

And exactlly the same as you, I thought I had any bug (bacteria, virus or parasite...). Blood analysis came always ok. So, unfortunatelly, doctors finally said my problem was about anxiety.

In fact, palpitations, insomnia, difficult breathing, poor digestions. They all fit with anxiety. If you add the fact that almost all doctors today don't know anything about POIS. The final result is really frustrating. Leading you to think you are the only in the world suffering such a strange illness.

Until for any reason, as Quantum is pointing out, you realise that all these seemingly unrelated symtoms are appearing after eyaculation (or even in my case with precum, so, no need to eyaculate).

Finally, when you find, a forum like this one... The situation changes a lot. You are no longer the only one suffering all this strange symtoms. And all together can share the same needs and a lot of valuable information. Until we find the most important thing: a cure.
