Change of POIS over time
« on: August 16, 2018, 04:46:36 PM »
It has been a while since I posted here for the last time. I hope that you are all doing well and enjoy the many things this life has to offer.

I have had POIS ever since I was a little boy: I was 13 years old when I got it the first time. I am more than a decade further ow and it's still affectig my life. I was thinking lately about this illness and how it developed over time. My condition has improved slightly over time. Some of the symptoms I had 10 years ago vanished completely. I used to have a dull headache and pressure on the ears. Both of these symproms vanished completely. I still get anxious and have some difficulties to focus, but it's not like it was 10 years ago. It has definitely improved. I know that some people develop POIS at a later age and that some have it their whole lifes. However, I haven't heard of POIS'ers that just got rid of POIS over time. Is there a possibility that the symptoms will vanish on their own completely over time? Do these cases exist?

I remember to read somewhere, sometime, that a POIS patient experienced remission of their symptoms by his own. I am trying to look for the info, but I cannot find it. Probably Dr.Goldmeier was involved in this report, but I can't assure it now!

I think Pois is an unbalance. If you the eliminate this unbalance, Pois will go away.
I think yes, Pois changes over time and i have improved too.

My history:
93 : start of my Pois. Mainly severe trouble of concentration, not after each ejaculation. I remember my first derealisation episode, a nighmare!

93 to 96 : Pois has stronger symptom and came after each ejaculation.
Muscular weakness, increasing anxiety, social phobia, digestive troubles, muscles tremors. I think my mg crashed down
96 to 2000 : Pois stronger. "flu-like" symptoms and joint pains came.
Start of the internet and start of the counter-attack
2000-2006 : no more evolution. 1st contact with Waldinger
We started the naked scientist forum adventure.
2006-2008 : depression came. The worst years of my life.
Summer 2008 : Stop sugar : first big improvement
Summer 2014 : Start Taurine : 2nd big improvement

Have you found it by now? It would be nice to have an example like this.

Thank you for your reply. It's so hard to relate any of these things to POIS in my case. Nothing seems to be related to it. How did the contact with mr. Waldinger help you?

It didn't help me but it comforted me to know a MD was working on my disease.
Taurine = Anti-Pois
